Kathleen “Butchie” Muscatell went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2024. She is reunited with the love of her life Tom, and their son Kim. She was born on April 21, 1932 in Mandan, ND. She split her time between Cotton Lake near Detroit Lakes, MN and Bradenton, FL. She was known for her warm hospitality, always welcoming friends and family into her home. Never one to meet a stranger, she kept her candy drawer stocked with sweet treats, eager to share with all who stopped by. Butchie dedicated much of her life to volunteer work, and was an active member of several organizations. She was a proud member of The P.E.O. Sisterhood, Cotton Lake Pride and Joy Homemakers, president of the YWCA and the president of The Children’s Village Family Services. She is survived by her children: Brett (Gina), Ward (Debra), Kathy (Vann), and Marc. Butchie is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. An avid sports fan, she favored the MN Vikings, always donning her purple and gold suit on game days. She and Tom missed very few NDSU Bison home football games. Butchie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness, compassion, and ability to see the best in everyone will be deeply missed by all who knew her. MANCHESTER UNITED are set to lose out on £10m in expected income if they continue on their current trajectory. The Red Devils are in dire form and currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League. Ruben Amorim is yet to turn things around on the pitch with a third consecutive defeat on Thursday leaving United some 12 points off fourth placed Nottingham Forest . It now looks extremely unlikely that Man Utd will qualify for the Champions League this season, a failure that could have a huge impact on the club's finances. According to The Times , United's contract with kit manufacturer Adidas contains a penalty clause that sees them lose out on £10MILLION for every season they fail to qualify for Europe's elite competition. That hefty loss would be coupled with huge amount of losses in broadcasting and match-day income too. United are already flirting with breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP_ regulations and have undergone a number of cost-cutting measures since the arrival of Ineos chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe . Morgan Rogers looked to have given Unai Emery’s side another famous win when he slammed a loose ball home at the death, but referee Jesus Gil Manzano ruled Diego Carlos to have fouled Juve goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and the goal was chalked off. It was a disappointment for Villa, who remain unbeaten at home in their debut Champions League campaign and are still in contention to qualify automatically for the last 16. Emiliano Martinez had earlier displayed why he was named the best goalkeeper in the world as his wonder save kept his side level in the second half. The Argentina international paraded his two Yashin Trophies on the pitch before kick-off at Villa Park and then showed why he won back-to-back FIFA awards when he denied Francisco Conceicao. Before Rogers’ moment of drama in the fourth minute of added time, the closest Villa came to scoring was in the first half when Lucas Digne’s free-kick hit the crossbar. But a draw was a fair result which leaves Villa out of the top eight on goal difference and Juventus down in 19th. Before the game Emery called Juventus one of the “best teams in the world, historically and now”, but this was an Italian side down to the bare bones. Only 14 outfield players made the trip from Turin, with striker Dusan Vlahovic among those who stayed behind. The opening 30 minutes were forgettable before the game opened up. Ollie Watkins, still chasing his first Champions League goal, had Villa’s first presentable chance as he lashed an effort straight at Di Gregorio. Matty Cash then had a vicious effort from the resulting corner which was blocked by Federico Gatti and started a counter-attack which ended in Juventus striker Timothy Weah. Villa came closest to breaking the deadlock at the end of the first half when Digne’s 20-yard free-kick clipped the top of the crossbar and went over. Martinez then produced his brilliant save just after the hour. A corner made its way through to the far post where Conceicao was primed to head in at the far post, but Martinez sprawled himself across goal to scoop the ball away. Replays showed most of the ball went over the line, but the Argentinian got there with millimetres to spare. At the other end another fine goal-line block denied John McGinn as Manuel Locatelli got his foot in the way with Di Gregorio beaten. The game looked to be petering out until a last-gasp free-kick saw Rogers slam home, but whistle-happy official Gil Manzano halted the celebrations by ruling the goal out.

Criticizing a post from Krishnan where he advocated the removal of country caps for green cards, Loomer called the appointment "deeply disturbing," prompting an online battle between the business leaders who say the work visas are essential to employing high-qualified foreign workers and Trump supporters who argued it was a way for business leaders to have cheap labor rather than provide job opportunities for Americans. A bill which seeks to create the Federal Capital Territory Satellite Towns Development Commission has passed its second reading on the floor of the Senate. The piece of legislation is sponsored by Senator Aliyu Wadada, representing Nasarawa West on the platform of the Social Democratic Party. In his lead debate, the senator told his colleagues that it was an initiative aimed at addressing the growth and infrastructure needs of the FCT Satellite Towns. He said that since the FCT is bounded by Nasarawa, Niger, Kaduna, and Kogi as contiguous states, it was necessary to address the challenges faced by the residents there. Wadada noted that since its creation, the FCT has continued to see tremendous growth as Nigeria’s federal capital. The rapid development of the nation’s capital, he added, came with a set of challenges, particularly for the satellite towns, which are all forced to accommodate the workforce of the Federal Capital Territory. He said the proposed commission would cater to satellite towns that are to be determined by a 60-kilometre distance into all the contiguous states of the FCT. Wadada said, “The FCT Satellite Towns Development Commission shall have the mandate to ameliorate the infrastructure deficits, manage urban sprawl, and promote sustainable development within the satellite towns.” He argued that the FCT Satellite Towns Development Commission is set up for the rapid urbanisation of the FCT, which has resulted in an acute shortage of affordable housing, leading to a mass movement of people to the satellite towns The development, he said, is creating informal settlements and slums. He said, “This has led to overcrowding, lack of basic amenities, and poor living conditions, which further exacerbate poverty within some of the towns in the contiguous states. “The migration of different ethnic groups into the satellite towns has continually led to cultural clashes between different groups with divergent values and lifestyles, which sometimes lead to tensions, especially when chasing scarce resources or competing for land and employment. “The widening economic gap between Abuja and its surrounding towns has led to social inequalities, as those who have migrated into the satellite towns often face poor living conditions in informal settlements. “This has resulted in high levels of crime, social unrest, inequality, and cultural homogenisation. As people from different parts of Nigeria flock to the satellite towns, the rich cultural diversity of the surrounding towns often gives way to a more homogenised national culture, causing the marginalisation of local cultures. “This bill, if passed, will ameliorate the infrastructure deficits, manage urban sprawl, and promote sustainable development within the FCT satellite towns. “The Commission’s role will include the development of essential infrastructure, such as roads, drainage systems, healthcare services, education, social services, and public utilities, such as waste management. “The establishment of an FCT Satellite Towns Commission will be a conscious effort towards spreading development to all nooks and crannies of our nation.” Senators, in their various contributions, supported the bill and contended that it would spread development to all the communities that border the FCT.
