Social media users are up in arms after Nick Jonas seemingly showed support for Elon Musk during a friendly interaction between the pair online. On Tuesday, the tech billionaire, 53, reacted to a post on X claiming his company’s profits skyrocketed since President-elect Donald Trump’s November election victory . “Tesla is up 100% since Donald Trump won!” the post read . Musk then responded to the post with a GIF of two of the Jonas Brothers — Joe and Kevin — spinning around a table with the caption, “My, how the tables have turned!” Shortly after, Nick Jonas quote-tweeted Musk’s post with a cheeky reference to the Jonas Brothers’ 2006 hit cover of the song “Year 3000” by the UK band Busted. He captioned his post,“Take us to the Year 3000” alongside a photo of the SpaceX founder. Nick Jonas’ response quickly garnered attention on X, with many fans expressing disappointment over the Disney alum supposedly co-signing Musk. elon musk tweeting a jonas brothers gif was not on my 2024 bingo card, & nick jonas responding to it?????? delete this tweeting at elon musk is definitely a choice The fact that the Elon Musk tweet is still up and you have not once deleted it after Jonas Fans have told you. It’s not hard to delete something Nicholas and make an apology or at least stand up to yourself. @nickjonas No no no no no no pic.twitter.com/18TXrFafR1 Other X users defended Nick Jonas as some pointed out that his tweet doesn’t necessarily declare his support for the controversial Musk. Elon Musk shared a gif with the Jonas Brothers in it and Nick Jonas quote tweeted it in a joking way and... this makes tens of thousands of people suddenly think the Jonas Brothers are Republicans? I hate this timeline I don’t assume that Nick Jonas is a Republican from his tweet. He supported Joe Biden in 2020 and protested an anti-trans bathroom bill in South Carolina. I think because Elon Musk used a GIF with Jonas Brothers, Nick referred to his technology for nostalgia without thinking pic.twitter.com/Ox7oh4nc2z Other news outlets have retreated behind paywalls. Nick Jonas being in the hot seat with his fans comes after Musk rocked the boat online when he was appointed by Trump in November to run the newly proposed Department of Government Efficiency alongside Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy . Related From Our PartnerNow that he’s stepped back into the role of being a starter, Dalton Risner is working tirelessly to make sure he’s at his best for the Vikings. ADVERTISEMENT That could be easier said than done in the short term. After starting exclusively at left guard since entering the NFL, Risner got the start at right guard for the first time last weekend with the Vikings playing the Tennessee Titans. Though he said he was extremely grateful for the opportunity, Risner also admitted there’s a learning curve now playing a new position. Not that he’s complaining about his place on the offensive line. “It was awesome,” Risner said. “I’m really happy with how I played. A few things to clean up. I think I’ll only continue to get better.” ADVERTISEMENT After rewatching the game, head coach Kevin O’Connell praised Risner for the way he competed in the trenches. “He showed some of that veteran moxie to win some downs that were some hard downs,” O’Connell said. “There are some things he’ll continue to improve with the speed and physicality of it as he finds his groove.” The biggest hurdle for Risner is getting his mind to think in reverse. He has spent so much time at left guard throughout his career that switching over to right guard has forced him out of his comfort zone. “All of it is flip-flopped,” Risner said. “It’s not an easy process.” ADVERTISEMENT It was made even more difficult last weekend with Risner going up against the combination of star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons and rookie defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat. “That’s about as good of a pair as we’re going to find in the NFL,” offensive coordinator Wes Phillips said. “We knew it was going to be a challenge up front with those guys. There are some things we could’ve done better from a technique perspective. We expect these guys to respond.” That includes Risner as the Vikings prepare for the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field. As he gains more experience at his new position, his hope is that it becomes second nature to him at some point soon. ADVERTISEMENT “I don’t know how many reps it’ll be or how many games it’ll be,” Risner said. I know I’ll consistently get more and more comfortable there.” The only player listed as a non-participant on the injury report was tight end Josh Oliver (wrist/ankle). He hasn’t practiced at all this week, so his availability for this weekend is very much up in the air. ______________________________________________________ This story was written by one of our partner news agencies. While some subscribers may feel the pinch of this change, it is important to consider the rationale behind Tencent Video's decision. By reducing the number of devices allowed for simultaneous playback, the platform aims to discourage the practice of account sharing, which can have a negative impact on the content ecosystem. This move is also aligned with industry trends, as other streaming platforms have implemented similar restrictions to combat unauthorized access and ensure fair distribution of content.HOUSTON, TEXAS, Nov. 27, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Quanex Building Products Corporation (NYSE: NX) (“Quanex” or the “Company”) today announced plans to release its fourth quarter and full year 2024 results on Thursday, December 12, 2024 after trading closes on the New York Stock Exchange. He was 100 years old and had spent more than a year in hospice care. The Georgia peanut farmer served one turbulent term in the White House before building a reputation as a global humanitarian and champion of democracy. He defeated President Gerald Ford in 1976 promising to restore trust in government but lost to Ronald Reagan four years later amid soaring inflation, gas station lines and the Iran hostage crisis. He and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, then formed The Carter Center, and he earned a Nobel Peace Prize while making himself the most active and internationally engaged of former presidents. The Carter Center said the former president died Sunday afternoon in Plains, Georgia.
