Social media users are up in arms after Nick Jonas seemingly showed support for Elon Musk during a friendly interaction between the pair online. On Tuesday, the tech billionaire, 53, reacted to a post on X claiming his company’s profits skyrocketed since President-elect Donald Trump’s November election victory . “Tesla is up 100% since Donald Trump won!” the post read . Musk then responded to the post with a GIF of two of the Jonas Brothers — Joe and Kevin — spinning around a table with the caption, “My, how the tables have turned!” Shortly after, Nick Jonas quote-tweeted Musk’s post with a cheeky reference to the Jonas Brothers’ 2006 hit cover of the song “Year 3000” by the UK band Busted. He captioned his post,“Take us to the Year 3000” alongside a photo of the SpaceX founder. Nick Jonas’ response quickly garnered attention on X, with many fans expressing disappointment over the Disney alum supposedly co-signing Musk. elon musk tweeting a jonas brothers gif was not on my 2024 bingo card, & nick jonas responding to it?????? delete this tweeting at elon musk is definitely a choice The fact that the Elon Musk tweet is still up and you have not once deleted it after Jonas Fans have told you. It’s not hard to delete something Nicholas and make an apology or at least stand up to yourself. @nickjonas No no no no no no pic.twitter.com/18TXrFafR1 Other X users defended Nick Jonas as some pointed out that his tweet doesn’t necessarily declare his support for the controversial Musk. Elon Musk shared a gif with the Jonas Brothers in it and Nick Jonas quote tweeted it in a joking way and... this makes tens of thousands of people suddenly think the Jonas Brothers are Republicans? I hate this timeline I don’t assume that Nick Jonas is a Republican from his tweet. He supported Joe Biden in 2020 and protested an anti-trans bathroom bill in South Carolina. I think because Elon Musk used a GIF with Jonas Brothers, Nick referred to his technology for nostalgia without thinking pic.twitter.com/Ox7oh4nc2z Other news outlets have retreated behind paywalls. Franklin Resources Inc. Buys 2,026 Shares of ScanSource, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCSC)Boston College’s offense had its moments on Saturday, converting 6 of 13 third downs and amassing 296 passing yards. BC caught Nebraska’s aggressive, blitzing defense with a few screens, coach Matt Rhule said, and Eagles’ quarterback Grayson James kept plays alive with timely scrambles. But Rhule said the Huskers' defense found its footing in the red zone — inside NU’s own 20 — by twice denying the Eagles points when they reached the Nebraska 9 and Nebraska 2. The Huskers, coordinated by John Butler, were trying to make BC attempt field goals. Boston College only attempted four all season, and missed its fifth try early in Saturday’s game. From thereon, BC went for its fourth downs in NU territory. It did not successfully convert one. “They missed the first one, so we felt pretty good about our opportunity — hey, they’re not going to kick one, it’ll be four downs,” Rhule said. “We knew how to address it.” Eight of BC’s drives reached Nebraska territory, producing just 13 of BC’s 15 points. “We were having trouble kicking the ball, so I didn't want to kick it,” Boston College coach Bill O’Brien said. “We were in that area where you're either going to plus-50 and punt it — which we could have done, but we're not great at that — or tried to kick a 50-yard field goal, which we're definitely not ready to do that. “I went for it on 4th down and probably put the defense in a couple tough positions. Look, Nebraska did a good job. We had trouble running the ball, had trouble scoring in the red area. We moved the ball. I think at halftime we had the time of possession, we had yardage, but didn't have the score.”
The Chip Overload! Inside Microsoft’s Strategic MovesChina executes former official Li Jianping over $421m corruption caseThe Red Devils travel to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town on Sunday as the Amorim era begins; the Portuguese coach taking over from Erik ten Hag following a brief interim spell under Ruud van Nistelrooy. have certainly improved since Ten Hag’s departure, winning three and drawing one of their last four matches, compared to just one win in their last eight under the Dutchman. On paper, a match against a newly promoted side should be a great way for Amorim to start his reign. However, Ipswich have taken four points from their last two games and shocked Tottenham 2-1 away just before the international break; their first Premier League win since April 2002. will hope he’s managed to get some of his early messaging through to his new squad, who will need to be at their best to take all three points. Chris Sutton has predicted this weekend’s clash for and it doesn’t make for good reading for United fans. The former Blackburn and Celtic striker doesn’t foresee a defeat for United, which would represent a disastrous start for Amorim. However, he doesn’t think the Red Devils will be able to overcome their hosts. “I am guessing this is Amorim’s first visit to Ipswich and he will probably be a bit underwhelmed, because there are much nicer cities in East Anglia to visit,” Sutton wrote. “It’s not the ideal place for him to get started with Manchester United either. “Ipswich’s win at Tottenham will give them real belief and they have had three draws already at home, so they will be competitive, especially if United are adapting to a new system – a lot of their players are coming back from international duty and haven’t had time to work with Amorim. “United will have some defending to do because Sammie Szmodics is lively up front and Liam Delap is a handful too — his stats for goal involvements, including assists, is really impressive. Ipswich just need to stop being so careless defensively. If they do that, they could get something from this game. “Everyone else is probably going to put Amorim to start with a win, but I am going for a draw. “After all the excitement and the hype about the apparent upgrade, then it is unthinkable for United to lose to the Tractor Boys, but imagine if they do drop points?”
MIBGAS launches today the first Iberian renewable hydrogen price index, with a price of 5.85 €/kg (148.36 €/MWh) MIBGAS launches today the first Iberian renewable hydrogen price index, with a price of 5.85 €/kg (148.36 €/MWh). The publication of this new price signal, which will be updated weekly, is made on the website , created to host all MIBGAS actions in the field of renewable gases. The working group created earlier this year and led by MIBGAS has participated in the development of the methodology to calculate a reference price for renewable hydrogen that reflects a reliable, robust, non-manipulable and representative cost-based signal. The MIBGAS IBHYX reflects the production cost of renewable hydrogen, that is, the minimum price at which a producer is willing to sell to achieve the expected profitability. In other words, the price signal of the offer ( ) of renewable hydrogen produced in the Iberian Peninsula in a typical electrolysis plant. This signal represents the levelized cost of producing renewable hydrogen in accordance with the criteria established in the European Union’s delegated acts of the for the production of RFNBO (Renewable Fuel of Non Biological Origin) hydrogen. The methodology employed is based on production costs, focusing initially on defining and unifying criteria to determine the production price of this energy vector in Iberia, as represented by the MIBGAS IBHYX index. The next step will be to determine the demand price (bid), which reflects the price an off-taker is willing to pay for renewable hydrogen. The gap or differential between these two prices will indicate the level of liquidity in this nascent market. MIBGAS is firmly committed to advancing the development of the renewable gases market and, specifically, renewable hydrogen, which is currently almost non-existent. For this reason, it created a working group at the beginning of this year to develop the necessary tasks for the definition of the renewable hydrogen price index in Iberia, due to the advantage that the territory has for being a competitive renewable energy producer. The result of this work is the MIBGAS IBHYX index. The group is composed of Spanish and Portuguese stakeholders involved in the hydrogen value chain, including producers, retailers, consumers, shippers, academic institutions and representatives of organizations such as the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC), the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and the Spanish Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE). This group has met in five sessions where the definition of a model plant representative of a renewable hydrogen production project in the Iberian Peninsula, all its parameters, as well as the methodology for calculating the levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH) model, built from the costs and revenues necessary to obtain a certain return on investment in the defined model plant, have been the focus of the different meetings. The calculation model adopted by MIBGAS to obtain the LCOH is more advanced than the traditional calculation model as it also contemplates all the financial variables associated with the project of the reference hydrogen production plant, as well as those related to the cost of renewable electricity production through the dedicated plant and the one taken from the grid, necessary to calculate the cost of renewable electricity. Detailed information on the adopted model can be found in the micrositedeveloped by MIBGAS, MIBGAS has developed a microsite along with a unique brand identity that will be used in its renewable gases initiatives. The website will include information about renewable gases and energy efficiency. The MIBGAS IBHYX index, which represents the levelized cost of renewable hydrogen production, will be published weekly on the microsite, as well as the calculation methodology, the evolution of the index and a downloadable file with the historical data. Additionally, it provides information on applicable regulations and the services MIBGAS offers related to the trading of renewable gases and energy efficiency. the latest news shaping the hydrogen market at MIBGAS launches today the first Iberian renewable hydrogen price index, with a price of 5.85 €/kg (148.36 €/MWh), VAUXHALL REVEALS PRICING AND SPECIFICATION FOR MOVANO HYDROGEN Vauxhall announces pricing and specification for the Movano HYDROGEN Movano HYDROGEN will offer a range of up to 311 miles (WLTP) and a refuelling time of... Former Liverpool defender Neco Williams was part of the Nottingham Forest side that beat Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday Former Liverpool defender Neco Williams couldn't resist a dig at Everton as he celebrated Nottingham Forest's 2-0 win at Goodison Park on Sunday. Wales international Williams spent 15 years at Anfield and made several appearances for the Reds' first team before being sold to Nottingham Forest in 2022. On Sunday, Williams played 82 minutes at Goodison Park as Forest continued their surge up the Premier League table with a 2-0 victory over the Blues. But the defender couldn't resist paying homage to his Liverpool roots as he celebrated the victory on social media. Writing on X, Williams said: "Last game in 2024 at Goodison, felt lovelyyy getting 3pts and a clean sheet there. You Reds enjoy your new year." After a four-game unbeaten streak, Everton suffered a first defeat since December 1 as goals from Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White secured all three points for the Midlanders. Speaking after the game, Sean Dyche said: "I thought they did what they've done to a lot of teams this season, playing a lot of counter-attacking football. That's not a slight on them. They scored one good goal but the second is farcical from us. You can't give away a goal to a side in that kind of form. "Playing quickly, playing with tempo, stretching their back four and asking as many questions by playing quickly, a tempo game. We did completely the opposite." Everton are now just three points above 18th-placed Leicester City, while Forest moved up to second and within eight points of Premier League leaders Liverpool.

What does Big Tech hope to gain from warming up to Trump? Is there a difference between the fascism experienced in the 21st century and the one witnessed by Germany and Italy in the previous century? This and many other aspects of fascism were explored in a seminar organised by the Arvind Memorial Trust here on Sunday. The inaugural event of the seventh ‘International Arvind Memorial Seminar' saw participation of hundreds of activists and academics from across the country. The five-day-long seminar, ‘Fascism in the Twenty-First Century: Elements of Continuity and Change and the Question of the Contemporary Proletarian Strategy' aims to understand the various aspects of fascism and what could be an effective strategy against it. The seminar was organised by Arvind Institute of Marxist Studies — an initiative of Arvind Memorial Trust in memory of Arvind Singh, a prominent Left-leaning intellectual and political activist. The trust organises a national seminar every year at different locations on some important aspects of social change, and the city hosted the event for the first time. The first day's event was presided by R. Raghu, Dr Nikhil Ekade, Prem Prakash, Shivani Kaul, and K.G. Ramachandra Rao. The inaugural event saw participants from different parts of the country including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and from the United States, Australia and Nepal. The attendees partook in a detailed discussion on the question of fascism. The key paper of the seminar, 'Fascism in the Twenty-first Century: Elements of Continuity and Change' was presented by Abhinav Sinha, who is a Marxist theorist and editor of a workers’ newspaper ‘Mazdoor Bigul’. The paper examined the essential characteristics of fascism throughout history and analysed the various aspects that distinguish fascism in the 21st century from that of the 20th century witnessed by Italy and Germany. Abhinav criticised the common tendency to term all reactionary forces as fascist and to expect all features of fascism to repeat themselves in an identical manner. He also mentioned that the Modi-Shah regime in India is undoubtedly an example of a fascist regime. The presentation was followed by an in-depth discussion which was enriched by several questions and additions from the participants. The session also witnessed intense debates among different aspects of fascism. Senior Supreme Court lawyer Colin Gonsalves will speak on the 'Rise of Fascism and the Question of Law and Judiciary' on Monday. Many prominent activists, intellectuals, writers and professors from various states are expected to attend the seminar. About a dozen other papers by prominent writers such as Shivani Kaul, P.J. James, Nicolai Messerschmidt, Jiselle Hannah from Australia Asia Worker Links (AAWL) and others, analysing the phenomenon of fascism and the strategy of resistance will be presented in the next four days.

Honda just unveiled the production line for these next-gen batteries, which are being made in Sakura City, Japan. From there, the automaker plans to establish a mass production process in early 2025. It will then start applying its all-solid-state batteries to new EVs due out in the second half of the 2020s. “The all-solid-state battery is an innovative technology that will be a game changer in this EV era,” said Keiji Otsu, president of Honda R&D, in a statement. Solid-state battery cells are much more energy-dense than the cells with liquid electrolytes currently used in most EVs. That means the batteries can hold more energy, deliver higher power output and faster recharging, all the while being much smaller and safer than current batteries. For years, competitors such as Toyota, Nissan, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz have also invested big into developing solid-state batteries, either with third parties or on their own. But production costs have remained a key hurdle on the way to mass commercialization. Honda says it’s betting its new production line will overcome this hurdle thanks to “a highly efficient production process” and by expanding the application of the batteries to a wide range of Honda mobility products, thereby reaping the benefits of economies of scale. The automaker says it plans to integrate its solid-state batteries not only in cars and SUVs but also in motorcycles and even aircraft. Meanwhile, the Honda Prologue electric SUV , which marks the return of the automaker’s EVs in the U.S., has so far been met with success: It was the fifth-bestselling EV in the U.S. in the third quarter, coming just behind Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3, Cybertruck, and the Ford Mustang Mach-E .
