Luke Richardson was fired as coach of the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, the NHL club announced, after the team stumbled to the league's worst record so far this season. Swede Anders Sorensen, coach of the Blackhawks' top developmental club, was named interim coach for the NHL squad. Richardson, a 55-year-old Canadian, went 57-118 with 15 overtime losses in three seasons with Chicago. The Blackhawks are 8-16 with two overtime losses this season for a league-low 18 points after going 19-54-9 last season, second-worst in the NHL, and 26-49-7 in 2022-23, third-worst in the league. "Today I made the difficult decision to move on from Luke as our head coach," Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson said. "As we have begun to take steps forward in our rebuilding process, we felt that the results did not match our expectations for a higher level of execution this season and ultimately came to the decision that a change was necessary." The Blackhawks are on a four-game losing streak and 3-9-1 in their past 13 starts with 2.42 goals a game this season, second worst in the NHL. They have reached the Stanley Cup playoffs only once over the past seven seasons. "I fully support Kyle's decision in making this change as he continues to do what is needed to move our team forward," Blackhawks chairman and chief executive Danny Wirtz said. "I have the utmost confidence in him and the rest of our hockey operations team as they begin their search for the next head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks." KROGER has been forced to apologize after an unhappy customer slammed their rude cashiers. Chuck Nice took to the social media platform X last Sunday to voice his anger at the store as he threatened to start shopping at a rival. KUCHING (Nov 25): More than 1,000 people took part in the Silent Run 4.0 Kuching Edition yesterday morning in support of athletes with hearing disability. They were flagged off by Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Mohamad Razi Sitam at the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) compound in Jalan Padungan. The run, divided into the 3km and 5km categories, was organised to heighten public awareness of deaf athletes and also raise funds for Sarawak Deaf Sports Association (SSDeaf) to send athletes to competitions. The Sibu and Miri editions of Silent Run 4.0 were held on May 5 and Sept 8 this year, respectively. In his brief speech, Mohamad Razi urged everyone to support SSDeaf’s efforts to raise funds to help finance deaf athletes competing in deaf sports at national and international levels. “I understand that this charity run was also held in Sibu and Miri before the Kuching edition today, with all three editions attracting a total participation of more than 2,000,” he said. Rookies splashed all over TV screens in the fantasy football finals, intent on delivering championships to managers who believed in youth over experience. as the early Sunday window closed, with 12 games in the books. Malik Nabers (7-171-2 good for 32.6 fantasy points) ranked as the WR2 for the week, Ladd McConkey (9-84-2 for 25.4 points) the WR7. Jalen McMillan (5-51-2 for 20.5 points), Brian Thomas Jr. (7-91-1 for 20.4 points) and Xavier Worthy (8-79-1 for 18.9 points) were all in a row, holding down the 10-11-12 spots, respectively. Heck, even Marvin Harrison Jr. (6-96-0) had a solid game from Saturday, while Keon Coleman (3-27-1) . Thomas and Nabers were college teammates at LSU (along with another super rookie, QB Jayden Daniels), and the Thomas vs. Nabers fantasy draft debate should be a fun one next year. Thomas has been remarkably productive and consistent this year despite mediocre quarterback play from Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones (to be fair, the touchdown Thomas caught on Sunday ). The New York quarterback situation has held Nabers down at times, although Drew Lock had his good stuff in Sunday's upset of Indianapolis. The Giants are sure to draft a signature quarterback next year. Nabers and Thomas could push into Round 1 of 2025 drafts Nabers, of course, went . But it was Thomas who was the . Given what Thomas overcame this year, I give him the slight edge over Nabers in 2025, but it's a tiny difference. They might go back-to-back in a lot of leagues. For now, I figure they'll land somewhere around the Pick 12-13 turn, but I wouldn't be shocked if they become even pricier than that. Forget landing them in Round 3, that's not going to happen. McConkey will be a fantasy building block in Year 2 McConkey's was doubly stinging for the Patriots, who traded the pick that became McConkey to the Chargers back in April, then shortly after selected one of the rookie flops of the year, WR Ja'Lynn Polk. McConkey's true upside was likely shielded at Georgia, where he and TE Brock Bowers didn't get to play in weekly shootouts. Does McConkey have potential Cooper Kupp upside down the road? It sure seems like the rookie is constantly open. He feels like a perfect Round 3 pick next year. Worthy's stock on the rise The flow of Worthy's rookie season was similar to how the Chiefs handled Rashee Rice last year — soft-pedal things early, then turn it on late. Of course, Worthy and Rice play much different roles, but the cadence of their seasons was similar. I suspect Worthy probably lands around Round 5 in 2025 drafts. Bucs' offseason decisions will impact McMillan McMillan was slow to earn fantasy trust from managers, as he finally climbed over the 50% rostered tag late this week. But with two touchdowns Sunday, that gives him six spikes in his last four games, part of the reliable Tampa Bay carnival. It will be interesting to see how Tampa Bay handles Chris Godwin, a pending free agent, after the season. If Godwin doesn't return, McMillan probably makes sense around Rounds 5-6. With Godwin back, it's a trickier call. The Buccaneers might also lose OC Liam Coen, who's been brilliant with the play sheet. Harrison, you ask? I suspect Harrison is a third-round pick next year — a bet on the talent, even if you don't trust the infrastructure. Kyler Murray and Harrison never completely worked out the kinks. Two other non-quarterback rookies deserve a Week 17 nod as we complete this look-ahead. Bucky Irving, star in the making Bucky Irving grabbed the RB3 slot in championship week on the strength of 190 total yards against the Carolina sieve. He basically threw Rachaad White out of the way in the Tampa backfield — Irving collected 20 carries and 24 touches compared to six and seven, respectively, for White. I don't think White is a bad player but Irving sure looks like a special one. Sounds like Irving might be a second-round pick next year, no later than Round 3. Brock Bowers is the new TE1 Bowers, of course, rewrote all those rookie tight end rules that Sam LaPorta worked on a year ago. Bowers came on late in Sunday's win over the Saints, securing all of his targets for a solid 7-77-0 line. His touchdown count of four is a little light, but consider the limited quarterbacks he's been playing with. And let's also acknowledge on the all-time rookie TE yardage chart, albeit Bowers had the benefit of a thicker schedule. Kyle Pitts once challenged that Ditka yardage record, falling just short. Pitts has been a maddening fantasy player since, but Bowers looks like something that will last. Maybe the Raiders upgrade at QB, maybe not, but I don't think it matters. Bowers should be the first tight end selected next year, figuring that will be Round 2-3 in pretty much every league.

He sued the soap later that year claiming that he was fired because of his political views and not just the mandate. “I am entitled to a religious exemption against mandatory vaccination for COVID-19 on the basis of my deeply and sincerely held moral belief that my body is endowed by my creator with natural processes to protect me and that its natural integrity cannot ethically be violated by the administration of artificially created copies of genetic material, foreign to nature and experimental,” the actor wrote in an e-mail to Disney HR before his firing, according to Variety . Rademacher lost the initial suit in 2023 when a judge found that because General Hospital also fired Burton, who plays Jason Morgan in the series, this proved the decision was about the health mandate. Rademacher is resurrecting the suit now because Burton was rehired on the series in January 2024. Jason made his official reappearance in March of that year. Brock Purdy and Nick Bosa are not available for the San Francisco 49ers when they enter Green Bay with designs on finding their finishing kick on Sunday afternoon. Purdy is out with a right shoulder injury and won't leave the sideline at Lambeau Field, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday, when he also declared Bosa out and confirmed journeyman Brandon Allen would make his 10th career start at quarterback. "Outside of here people haven't seen a lot of Brandon. But it's his second year (with the 49ers)," Shanahan said. "Obviously guys want Brock up, but guys are excited to see Brandon play." Shanahan said the 49ers are "a little surprised" Purdy experienced tightness and discomfort in his shoulder after an MRI exam on Monday that showed no long-term cause for concern. "The way it responded this week, it's really up in the air for next week," Shanahan said of Purdy's long-term prognosis. Allen's last NFL start on the road was with the Bengals at the Ravens in 2020. Allen completed 6 of 21 passes for 48 yards with two interceptions. He finished with a passer rating of 0.0 in a 38--3 loss. "It's definitely an opportunity for me to go out and play well and put our guys in a good position to win the game," Allen said Friday. "And obviously we want Brock back and healthy and all that, but for time being, it is an opportunity for me." Purdy took the practice field Thursday with the intent to participate. His shoulder tightened significantly, and the 49ers ushered him off the field to meet with trainers. Purdy beat the Packers in the NFC divisional playoffs at San Francisco in January, but Allen is familiar to Packers head coach Matt LaFleur. Tight end George Kittle also is eager to play after a nagging hamstring injury sidelined him against the Seahawks. "Very excited," Kittle said. "Can't pass up playing the Packers, so no, I will be out there for sure." Allen was a three-year starter at Arkansas but has been a journeyman backup since entering the NFL in 2016 as the 201st overall pick of the Jaguars. Shanahan and LaFleur have been fierce competitors since twice working together, first as low-level assistants with the Texans in 2008, then on the so-called "dream team" staff in Washington that also included Sean McVay, Mike McDaniel and Raheem Morris; and two seasons with the Falcons (2015, 2016) where LaFleur was quarterbacks coach and Shanahan called the plays. Shanahan scored the most recent win over LaFleur in January. Green Bay has won seven of the past eight regular-season meetings between the franchises. But the familiarity and shared-brain approach to offense that has the coaches completed each other's play calls has led to some tight games. The past three at Lambeau Field were all decided by three points. Green Bay, which hosts a home game on Thanksgiving next Thursday, is starting a run of three games in 12 days. They'll play back-to-back Thursday games. Their Week 14 game is at Detroit. That might make it good news for LaFleur that surprising contributors have emerged of late. Packers wideout Christian Watson had a career-best 150 receiving yards on only four catches during last week's 20-19 road win against the Chicago Bears. His diving 60-yard reception in the fourth quarter put the Packers in position for Love's go-ahead, 1-yard scoring run with 2:59 to play. Watson entered the game with eight catches for 83 yards over his previous three contests, but LaFleur assured Watson remains a "big part" of the attack. "He's a guy who's got every measurable known to man in terms of the size, the speed, and it's not like those were easy plays he was making," LaFleur said. "He was making tough, contested catches." San Francisco will aim to generate more pressure against Love than the Bears, who sacked him just once. The 49ers collected four sacks against the Seahawks, with Bosa and Leonard Floyd contributing 1.5 apiece. Recent regular-season history between the Packers and 49ers at Lambeau Field has favored Green Bay. The Packers have won seven of their past eight home games against the 49ers and are 22-11 versus San Francisco at home all-time.
