Jason Kelce will try his hand at late-night television early next year. Kelce announced during an appearance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday night that he will host “They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce,” on ESPN. The one-hour show will tape on five straight Friday nights beginning Jan. 3. That coincides with the last week of the NFL’s regular season and the playoffs. The show will originate in front of a live audience from Union Transfer in Philadelphia. The first four episodes will air at 1 a.m. EST starting on Jan. 4 with the final episode coming on at 1:30 a.m. EST on Feb. 1. “I loved late-night shows, I’ve always loved them. I remember sleepovers watching Conan O’Brien with my friends,” Kelce said on Kimmel’s show. “We’re going to have a bunch of guys up there — legends of the game, friends that I played with, coaches, celebrities,” Kelce said. The Philadelphia-based band Snacktime will provide the show’s music. The show’s title is a homage to “They Call it Pro Football,” which was NFL Films’ first full-length film in 1967. NFL Films originated in Philadelphia and founders Ed and Steve Sabol are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It also featured the legendary voice of John Facenda, who did the news on Philadelphia television before becoming better known as the voice of NFL Films. NFL Films will produce the show in conjunction with Kelce’s Wooderboy Productions and Skydance Sports. Each episode will also be also seen on Replays airing on ESPN2, and also be available on ESPN+, ESPN’s YouTube channel and the Jason Kelce channel on YouTube. Kelce is in the first year of a multi-year agreement with ESPN. He appears on the network’s “Monday Night Countdown” show as well as providing halftime and postgame analysis. The Seminoles (2-9) convincingly snapped a six-game losing streak and ensured that the Buccaneers (1-11) would finish theirs on a 10-game skid. Florida State has not had much to celebrate during one of its worst seasons in program history. But on Saturday, the Seminoles overcame a rough start and put together one of their more complete efforts of the season. Florida State had not scored more than 21 points in a game prior to Saturday's contest and its 175 rushing yards more than doubled its average (80.5 per game) this season. No single runner had over 40 yards, but seven rushers combined for that output on 34 attempts. The Seminoles entered the game ranked 130th out of 133 FBS teams in rushing offense. Holmes, a senior, finished with three carries for 38 yards, including touchdown runs of 3 and 18 yards. Kromenhoek gave Florida State a sliver of hope for its quarterback future as he completed 13 of 20 passes for 209 yards and no interceptions. He threw TD passes for Amaree Williams, Ja'Khi Douglas and Hykeem Williams. The highlight was a 71-yard touchdown pass to Douglas on the first play from scrimmage of the second half to put the Seminoles ahead 24-0. Douglas finished with 82 yards receiving on three catches, and 10 different Florida State players caught passes for 240 total yards. The Seminoles went 6 of 10 on third downs after averaging only a 25 percent conversion rate all season. Their defense held Charleston Southern to 275 total yards (57 rushing) and forced two turnovers. Health minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar reached SMS Hospital to inspect the arrangements for the treatment of those who were injured and burnt in the accident. Within minutes, the hospital made elaborate arrangements for injured people. A newly built modern ward was allocated exclusively for the injured. A control room was established as well for the information of the deceased and the injured patients. On Friday, the state govt also released police helpline numbers: 9166347551, 8764688431, 7300363636 for victims and their families to call for information. With many unidentified patients coming to hospital, the hospital also enlisted a dedicated team from the Information and Technology department to assist in identifying severely burnt victims and helping their relatives using Aadhaar numbers, thumb impressions and other relevant details. Khimsar said, "The incident is deeply distressing and painful. Prompt treatment and superior medical care are being provided to the injured. Despite these challenging circumstances, the department remains steadfast in supporting the affected families with complete sensitivity and dedication." SMS Medical College principal Dr Deepak Maheshwari said, "Twelve people have died, out of those, five died in SMS Hospital. Five were brought dead to SMS, one was brought dead to Jaipuria Hospital. We have opened one new ICU for burn patients and deployed staff. For attendants of the patients, we have made arrangements for food and also provided them place to stay in near the hospital." Dr RK Jain, head of the department (burn and plastic surgery) at SMS Medical College, said, "We received 15 patients who have more than 50% burn injuries." Medical education secretary Ambrish Kumar, Maheshwari and hospital superintendent Sushil Bhati also coordinated continuously. Naresh Goyal, additional director of research and planning medical education, managed the control room arrangements. "We've had to deal with our situations off the ice with injuries and everyone deals with that, but this decision was based 100% on having someone of Jim's caliber becoming available when I didn't know that was going to happen." Montgomery is 180-84-33 as an NHL coach, having guided Dallas for two seasons and Boston for just over two campaigns, going 120-41-23 with the Bruins. The Milwaukee Brewers are going to be an intriguing team to keep an eye on throughout the MLB offseason. While they were a contender and made the playoffs during the regular season, they were exposed quickly during the playoffs. Unfortunately, they still are a couple of pieces away from being a legitimate World Series contender. With that in mind, there has been a lot of speculation about moves the Brewers could make. Milwaukee could consider getting aggressive as they pursue a championship. Deesha Thosar of Fox Sports has suggested an intriguing trade that Milwaukee could consider. Milwaukee Brewers Urged to Pursue Big Trade with Los Angeles Angels In her suggestion, she urged the Brewers to pursue a trade with the Los Angeles Angels for infielder Luis Rengifo. “If the Brewers wind up moving Turang or Ortiz to short, they could look to trade for Angels infielder Luis Rengifo, who will be in the final year of arbitration in 2025. It’s a boon for Milwaukee that Rengifo plays both second and third, and he shouldn’t cost them too many prospects or flashy players since he would be a one-year stop-gap option.” Rengifo would be a one-year player if things don’t work. However, if they did work out, the Milwaukee Brewers could look to re-sign him and keeping him around for the future. During the 2024 MLB season with the Angels, Rengifo ended up playing in 78 games. He hit six home runs to go along with 30 RBI, while slashing .300/.347/.417. Those numbers would be a solid addition to the Brewers’ lineup. He’s also just 27 years old, which gives this move the potential to be something much bigger than just a one-year rental. All of that being said, it will be very interesting to see what Milwaukee chooses to do this offseason. If they truly want to win a championship, they’ll need to make a couple of high impact moves. Acquiring Rengifo may not be a “sexy” move, but it’s a trade that would certainly improve the overall talent of the roster and would give a bit more help to the Milwaukee Brewers’ lineup.
