By Conor Ryan The Red Sox have signaled all offseason that they’re willing to spend heavily. Beyond team president Sam Kennedy confirming Boston’s interest in Juan Soto and the team’s readiness to exceed MLB’s competitive balance tax (CBT) to bring in top talent, multiple reports have tied the Red Sox to some of the top names in both free agency and on the trade market. But if Boston wants to win the high-stakes sweepstakes for stars like Soto, Corbin Burnes, and Max Fried, the Red Sox might have to significantly outbid some other deep-pocketed teams like the Yankees. Why? According to longtime ESPN baseball writer Buster Olney, the Red Sox’ status as a top destination for players has waned in recent years — especially after the team dealt Mookie Betts to the Dodgers in February 2020. “One market factor that shifts cyclically is how some teams become a preferred destination for players, while other teams lose ground in the perception game,” Olney posted on X. “Boston is aggressive with dollars now, but the Red Sox will have to pay extra to overcome a negative player perception that really started growing when the team wouldn’t pay Mookie Betts.” One market factor that shifts cyclically is how some teams become a preferred destination for players, while other teams lose ground in the perception game. Boston is aggressive with dollars now, but the Red Sox will have to pay extra to overcome a negative player perception that... The Red Sox’ decision to move on from Betts has been nothing short of a disaster for Boston. Connor Wong the only remaining player still on Boston’s roster from that deal with the Dodgers. Meanwhile, Betts has gone on to win two World Series titles, four Silver Sluggers, and two Gold Gloves over the last five seasons in Los Angeles. Beyond Betts’ exit, the Red Sox have let other homegrown stars like Xander Bogaerts walk in free agency — with Boston prioritizing internal development over active offseasons. The result has granted Boston one of the top farm systems in baseball, but little to show for it at the big-league level so far. Boston has only punched its ticket to the postseason once over the last six seasons. Add in the Red Sox’ quiet offseason in 2023 after promises of a “full throttle” approach , and Boston might have some work to do when it comes to re-establishing itself as a major player in free agency. The Red Sox have already lost out on two potential pitching targets in Blake Snell and Yusei Kikuchi — who signed with the Dodgers and Angels, respectively, this week. The Mercedes AMG G 63 isn’t just a car, it’s an icon. Listening to its customers, Mercedes have made minor tweaks to the G 63. It retains its 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine but the big news is the addition of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that offers an extra 15kW and 200Nm. The result? A whopping 430Kw and 850Nm, and 0-100km/h in just 4.4 seconds, which is seriously impressive for an SUV of this size. With a starting price of $368,400 plus on-road-costs, the price remains unchanged from the pre-facelift model. The 2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63 has increased in price by more than $100,000 since 2017. Picture: Mercedes-Benz Australia Motoring experts will be quick to point out the increase in price by more than $100,000 since 2017. But Mercedes could charge well over $400,000, or even $500,000 and there would still be a demand for this iconic machine. For those craving more performance, an optional AMG Performance package raises the top speed to 240km/h, up 20km/h and shaves the 0-100km/h time to 4.3 seconds. The package includes active suspension and launch control. AMG’s Active Ride Control can be felt when roaring through corners. Using sensors, the hydraulic roll stabilisation counters body roll in the bends, making the G 63 composed on winding roads. Drivers can also finetune their setup through several driving modes. At a glance, the G 63 remains relatively unchanged, but there have been several updates. The interior of the 2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63 has been updated to feature the MBUX system, temperature controlled cup holders, wireless charging and a new generational steering wheel. Picture: Mercedes-Benz Australia A new, more aggressive font bumper and AMG emblem features on the grille. The AMG carbon-fibre package elevates the vehicle with carbon-fibre added to the interior and exterior. Mercedes have kept the iconic 1979 door handles but added keyless entry. Inside, the G 63 has been updated with the latest MBUX system, temperature controlled cup holders, wireless charging and a new-generation steering wheel. A dedicated off-road cockpit will also show real-time coordinates, incline data and multiple cameras including a 360 degree view. An array of new packages bring further personalisation. With 28 exterior paint colours and new wheels design, customers can create their dream G 63. Additionally, there are 21 MANUFAKTUR leather upholstery colourways, five interior stitching choices, and three seatbelt options, with bold combinations like green stitching on Green Hell Magno paint. The 2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63 features an off-road cockpit. Picture: Mercedes-Benz Australia Customers can order now with deliveries beginning mid 2025. Global production will be capped at 45,000 units annually and demand is already high with lead times stretching to 6-8 months depending on specification. Verdict : 4 out of 5 Whether you’re drawn to its military roots or its modern day appeal, the Mercedes AMG G 63 continues to be the ultimate SUV. With its blend of legacy, luxury, performance, personalisation and timeless design, it’s no surprise that demand far exceeds supply. For those who can get their hands on one, congratulations! As the crypto market gears up for the 2025 bull run, utility tokens are foraging the scene as strong contenders for stable and considerable returns. Among the ones to focus on are IntelMarkets (INTL), Ripple (XRP), and Sui (SUI), which promise stability for the coming market leg-up. Read to discover why experts suggest you should add INTL, XRP, and SUI to your portfolio before the 2025 bull run! IntelMarkets: Cutting-Edge Perpetual Contracts Platform Set to Disrupt DeFi The decentralized finance landscape is on the rise with the emergence of innovative and utility-focused projects like IntelMarkets. IntelMarkets is a perpetual contracts platform that aims to transform how people approach trading using advanced technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence. One of IntelMarkets' core features is its Rodeum AI-powered self-learning trading robots. These bots are developed to analyze a considerable amount of market data and precisely carry out trades. They will give users a competitive advantage in the market. IntelMarkets also offers DeFi products such as many asset pairs, 1,000X leverage, and an analytical tool. With vast asset exposure, high trading leverage, and the INTEL-M channel tool providing trading signals, traders can profit massively from every trade. Furthermore, IntelMarkets' dual-chain ecosystem, comprising Ethereum and Solana, provides users with the best of both worlds. Ethereum's security and reliability, combined with Solana's scalability and speed, will make the platform unstoppable. Institutional and retail investors are showing interest in IntelMarkets because of its utility. This interest can be seen in the $4.1 million invested in INTL's ongoing public presale. Expert On Wall Street Says XRP Offers A Huge Wealth-building Opportunity Wall Street expert Digital G has commented on XRP's prospect as a smart investment vehicle to build generational wealth. The ex-fund manager endorsed the Ripple-owned cryptocurrency in an X post on December 8, 2024. Digital G's comment comes amid the crypto market downturn, which saw XRP shed a significant portion of its market value. The Ripple coin dipped 14.87% , diving close to the $2 range. In the same breath, Digital G alluded to the profit potential of XLM and XDC, asserting that these coins and the Ripple coin offer the best value proposition among any other asset on the market. Amid XRP's challenges, the experts' remark has sparked investors' optimism about the Ripple coin's future. During the market-wide rally in November, Ripple’s XRP rose 303%, ranking among the top performers for that month. It registered a 2.74% increase in the last seven days, rallying to $2.38 . This performance suggests it could be a good crypto to buy ahead of the 2025 bull run. QuickNode Adds Support For Sui Network to Boost Web3 Adoption Web3 development platform QuickNode has announced that it will support layer-1 network Sui to expand Web3 scalability and drive its adoption. This strategic move will make the Sui network available to blockchain developers based on QuickNode. Developers on both platforms may now share resources to foster product development with ease. With SUI as a reliable blockchain, this partnership will eliminate the hurdles to developing within the Web3 ecosystem. Blockchain development was time-consuming because developers had to build apps and manage interactions between blockchains simultaneously. The drawbacks to this method are that it is time-consuming and prone to mistakes. SUI is expected to benefit significantly from this alliance in the long run, especially during the 2025 bull run. For now, the SUI price is up 31.26% over the week. INTL to Rise Exponentially During the 2025 Bull Run As the 2025 bull run draws nearer, the focus shifts to XRP, SUI, and INTL because of their potential to enrich investors. Savvy investors are already stacking up their portfolios with these coins, and you should be, too. INTL sells for $0.064 per token in Stage 7 of its public presale. Buying the token now can earn investors 71% of their capital and more after its exchange debut at $0.110. With these tokens set to deliver stable gains during the 2025 bull market, investing in them should be a no-brainer. However, it is important to do pre-emptive due diligence! FAQs Black Friday is a big shopping event that occurs each year on the day after Thanksgiving. This year, it falls on Nov. 29. Since Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday, many people are off through the weekend, so retailers have capitalized on this day, the last national holiday before Christmas. This makes Black Friday a great chance to finish checking off your holiday shopping list. Cyber Monday happens on the Monday following the Thanksgiving holiday. This year, Cyber Monday falls on Dec. 2. Yes, Sam's Club and many other retailers offer better deals during Black Friday than the rest of the year. Historically, we have seen the biggest discounts during the holiday shopping season at Sam's Club. This year is no different, with even bigger discounts than last year. Though there are many online deals, Black Friday has been historically a mostly in-person shopping event where people visit a brick-and-mortar store. With most big box stores featuring an online store, Black Friday online shopping has become as common as Amazon Prime Day shopping. Cyber Monday began and remains an online shopping event for online stores to capitalize on customers who may have missed a Black Friday deal and can shop from home or work on Monday. As a product reviewer at ZDNET, I've become familiar with many tech devices' unique features and tested different models in every price range. This experience helps me discern which products are worth their retail price and when a discount is a good deal. I often check for deals on robot vacuums, tablets, and smart home devices, always choosing the ones that deliver the most features for the least money. Using our expertise and different tools to track deals, we can determine when a deal is worth it and ensure we only cover those. This list of deals will be updated as new deals appear and others sell out. While retailers hold store-specific shopping events throughout the year, like Amazon with Prime Day, you can expect Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals to appear everywhere. This includes your local businesses and big box stores. Black Friday is a huge shopping event, both in-person and online, with stores like Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon, Target, Costco, and more offering eye-popping discounts on different products. Swansea boss Luke Williams thought his side were second best for the majority of the contest despite earning a 2-1 win at Derby. The Swans stunned Pride Park into silence with less than two minutes on the clock when Zan Vipotnik sent a bullet past Jacob Widell Zetterstrom before Ronald slotted home his first of the season in the 14th minute. Cyrus Christie brought Tom Barkhuizen down inside the box and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing dispatched the resulting penalty to cut the deficit in half and, despite piling on the pressure, Derby succumbed to a second home defeat of the season. Williams told a press conference: “We started the game very well, we were good up until we scored the second goal then we lost the grip on the game and I thought Derby were the better team. “The next thing for us we have to be able to maintain that level throughout the game and we weren’t able to do that to be quite honest today. “They made it difficult, reacted very well after the second goal and didn’t go under, far from it.” Swansea leapfrogged their opponents into the top half of the table with their sixth win of the season and took three points back to south Wales following two last-minute defeats by Burnley and Leeds heading into the match. Williams added: “We’ve recently conceded late goals but they’re a very resilient group and we saw it out in the end. “We’ve dominated games a lot but probably failed to score when we’ve been that dominant and tonight we managed to score the goals when we were dominant. “We scored the goals at the right time today.” Derby had been unbeaten in their last three matches coming into this one but Paul Warne put defeat down to a poor start. He said: “We conceded two and didn’t get close enough, weren’t aggressive enough, not enough body contact and looked soft, that’s my fault. “Maybe I didn’t message it properly. Sometimes it doesn’t come down to shape and tactics but I thought that was what the difference was. “Credit Swansea for the win but after the 25 mins it looked like we would score. I really enjoyed it, that’s the truth. I had 70 minutes of a team giving everything, I don’t think we’ve had that many attempts in the Championship this season. “It’s a rude awakening, last year we would’ve won that 4-2.”Concord Biotech Ltd, part of the pharma industry, underwent consolidation after hitting record highs in September but recent price action suggests that the stock is on the verge of giving a breakout from a potential Rounding Bottom pattern on daily charts.Short-term traders with a high-risk profile can go long in the stock only on a close above Rs 2,120 which can take it towards Rs 2,400-Rs 2,600 in the short to medium term, suggest experts.TheElon Musk wants to 'delete' a federal agency designed to prevent another financial crisis and protect people from scams
