We’re separating our picks based on price range to make it easier for you to find a phone that fits your budget. Without further ado, here’s our list: Under P10,000 Xiaomi Redmi 13 4G The best budget phones give you tremendous value for your money, delivering on all the bare essentials and then some. While they don’t have the same bells and whistles as their flagship counterparts, they’re sure to make every centavo you spend well worth it. When it comes to value, Redmi phones are hard to beat. P15,000-P20,000 Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G As far as value for money goes, Xiaomi’s Redmi line is almost unrivaled. This year’s Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is one of the best examples of that, boasting a whopping 200MP main camera that takes photos with plenty of detail. What’s more, it has a bright 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a highly capable Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with 5G connectivity support. Because with its price tag of P29,999, it’s the closest you can possibly get to a flagship experience in this category. Alternatives: Poco F6 Pro In some areas, the Poco F6 Pro is arguably better than the Honor 200 Pro. It has an elegant design, a great 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a resilient battery, and Wi-Fi 7 support. In addition to all that, the F6 Pro is also cheaper than the 200 Pro by P3,000, with it starting at P26,999. But its cameras leave plenty of room for improvement, which for us, brings the experience down slightly. Still, the phone is a solid option in this category. Samsung Galaxy A55 5G The Galaxy A55 5G is sort of like a stripped down version of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S line. While it doesn’t possess the same bells and whistles as its premium counterpart, it does look and feel more expensive than it is. It also has a nice display, decent performance, and a battery that can last a full day. But, again, you’re probably only choosing this if you want to flaunt a stylish-looking phone. P30,000 to P40,000 Xiaomi 14T Pro If there’s one phone that can give premium flagships a run for their money, it’s the Xiaomi 14T Pro . This beefy all-arounder has it all: stellar Leica-branded lenses, an excellent AMOLED display with a 144Hz dynamic refresh rate, a speedy Dimensity 9300+ SoC chipset, and ultra-fast charging. Moreover, it has a sleek build, highlighted by an aluminum alloy frame. Lest we forget, it also features a bunch of cool AI features, including Android’s Circle to Search and Gemini assistant. As with the other phones we’ve listed so far, it’s not perfect. The ultrawide lens, for example, doesn’t feature autofocus. The telephoto lens, meanwhile, doesn’t feature optical image stabilization. Overall, however, these are minor compromises to what is a strong contender for the best bang-for-your-buck phone of the year. The Xiaomi 14T Pro starts at P37,999 . It also has a beautiful display and good performance for the price. If you want a budget-friendly entry point to the Galaxy system or want to stay in it without forking upwards of P50,000, the S24 FE, priced at P39,990 , should be a no-brainer. P40,000 to P50,000 Xiaomi 14 If you want a pocketable phone that doesn’t compromise on performance power, you can’t go wrong with the Xiaomi 14. This compact flagship impresses in every department. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset can handle anything you throw at it; its Leica-branded camera system takes sharp photos with great color accuracy; and its 6.39-inch AMOLED display is bright and immersive. Is it a perfect phone? No. Xiaomi’s HyperOS is not as intuitive as other software. The upgrades here may also feel incremental if you already own last year’s Xiaomi 13. With the Ultra, you get a big and brilliant display, close to class-leading battery life, an incredibly versatile camera system, and an amazing software experience with plenty of AI functionalities and tools, among so many others. S Pen support also returns this year, letting you turn your phone into a mobile workstation. This phone essentially redefines what phones are capable of, with it being able to function like a laptop, a professional-grade camera, and a drawing tablet all at the same time.
