Segall Bryant & Hamill LLC Makes New Investment in CVS Health Co. (NYSE:CVS)KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Taylor Swift once raved about the sweet potato casserole served at a New York City restaurant and now that recipe pops up every now and again at Thanksgiving. The holidays encourage many of us to try new recipes. Social media right now is flooded with recipes for appetizers, side dishes and desserts. Anyone making that cornbread casserole from TikTok? While we might not get to share a Thanksgiving feast with Swift — is your name Blake Lively? — or other celebrities beloved by Kansas City, we can eat like them. So here’s the recipe for that casserole Swift loved so much, and favorite family side dish recipes from Donna Kelce and Eric Stonestreet. Enjoy. Travis Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce, seen here last year at her son's music festival, dined on a cheesesteak made by actor Bradley Cooper at QVC festivities in Las Vegas this week. (Emily Curiel/Kansas City Star/TNS) If we tried to guess how many holiday dinner rolls Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, have scarfed over the years, would it be in the hundreds? Thousands? Their mom has spoken often about the batches of holiday crescent rolls she has baked over the years. Based on the recipe that won the 1969 Pillsbury Bake-Off, Pillsbury’s Magic Marshmallow Crescent Puffs , they’re now known as Mama Kelce’s Dinner Rolls. They blend the crescent roll pastry with marshmallows, cinnamon and sugar. Dinner roll or dessert? We bet they didn’t last long enough in front of Travis and Jason for that debate. Ingredients Rolls •1/4 cup granulated sugar •2 tablespoons Pillsbury Best all-purpose flour •1 teaspoon ground cinnamon •2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count) •16 large marshmallows •1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted Glaze •1/2 cup powdered sugar •1/2 teaspoon vanilla •2-3 teaspoons milk •1/4 cup chopped nuts Directions Make the rolls 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray 16 medium muffin cups with nonstick baking spray. 2. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar, flour and cinnamon. 3. Separate the dough into 16 triangles. For each roll, dip 1 marshmallow into melted butter; roll in the sugar mixture. Place marshmallow on the shortest side of a triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side and rolling to opposite point. Completely cover the marshmallow with the dough; firmly pinch edges to seal. Dip 1 end in remaining butter; place butter side down in muffin cup. 4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. 5. When done, remove from the oven and let the puffs cool in the pan for 1 minute. Remove rolls from muffin cups; place on cooling racks set over waxed paper. Make the glaze and assemble In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls. Sprinkle with nuts. Serve warm. (Emma McIntyre/Getty Images for SiriusXM/TNS) Thanksgiving is one of the “Modern Family” star’s favorite holidays. Three years ago, as part of a campaign honoring hometown heroes , he shared one of his favorite recipe with McCormick Spices: Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Butternut Squash . This recipe serves eight. Ingredients •1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved •1 pound butternut squash, peeled and cut into bite-size cubes •1 tablespoon olive oil •1/2 teaspoon garlic powder •1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves •1/2 teaspoon salt •1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper •5 slices bacon, chopped •1 shallot, finely chopped •1/2 cup dried cranberries •1/4 cup balsamic vinegar •1 teaspoon whole grain mustard •1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted (optional) •1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese, (optional) Directions 1. Preheat oven to 475°F. Spray large shallow baking pan with no stick cooking spray; set aside. Place Brussels sprouts and squash in large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, thyme, salt and pepper; toss to coat evenly. Spread in single layer on prepared pan. 2. Roast 16 to 18 minutes or until tender and lightly browned, stirring halfway through cooking. 3. Meanwhile, cook bacon in medium skillet on medium heat about 6 minutes or until crispy. Remove using slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain. Add shallot to same skillet; cook and stir 2 minutes until softened and lightly browned. Stir in cranberries, vinegar and mustard until well blended. Transfer mixture to small bowl; set aside. 4. Arrange roasted Brussels sprouts and squash on serving platter. Drizzle with cranberry balsamic glaze and toss gently to coat. Sprinkle with cooked bacon, toasted pecans, and crumbled blue cheese, if desired. Serve immediately. Swift gushed about the sweet potato casserole served at Del Frisco’s Grille in New York City, a dish crowned with a crunchy candied pecan and oatmeal crumble. “I’ve never enjoyed anything with the word casserole in it ever before, but it’s basically sweet potatoes with this brown sugary crust,” she told InStyle. ”Oh my God, it’s amazing.” The media rushed to find the recipe, which Parade has published this Thanksgiving season . “Similar to T. Swift herself, we think this recipe is a mastermind, especially if you’ve been asked to bring the sweet potato side dish to this year’s Thanksgiving feast. It seriously begs the question: who needs pumpkin pie?” the magazine writes. Ingredients •4 lbs sweet potatoes •1⁄3 cup oats •12 oz unsalted butter, divided •1⁄2 cup packed brown sugar •1⁄2 cup toasted pecans •1⁄2 cup granulated sugar •1 tsp kosher salt •2 tsp vanilla extract •4 large eggs, beaten Directions Preheat oven to 375°F. 1. Scrub sweet potatoes. Pierce each several times with a fork and wrap tightly in foil. Place on a sheet pan. Bake 90 minutes or until tender. Set aside until cool enough to handle. 2. Meanwhile, place oats in a food processor; process 1 minute. Add 4 oz butter, brown sugar and pecans; pulse five times to combine. Spread mixture on a baking sheet; bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven, crumble. Bake 5 minutes or until golden brown. 3. Melt remaining 8 oz butter. Remove skin from cooled sweet potatoes. In a large bowl, whisk sweet potatoes, melted butter, granulated sugar and remaining ingredients until slightly lumpy. Transfer to a greased baking dish, smoothing surface evenly. Top with oat mixture. Bake 12 minutes or until heated through. Make-ahead tips •Sweet potato filling can be made up to 2 days in advance. Dr Disrespect’s decision to join rising streaming platform Rumble and lead its Gaming section has some fans excited – but others are abandoning the creator. On November 25, after weeks of teases and hints, Dr Disrespect , real name Guy Beahm, confirmed that he had joined Rumble as part of an agreement that includes equity with milestones as a majority of its compensation. The free speech platform has been making waves recently after its groundbreaking election night coverage that even surpassed Kick in terms of peak viewership . Dr Disrespect viewers abandon streamer over Rumble When Doc’s Rumble announcement was confirmed, his community was instantly mixed. Some welcomed the change while others opposed it, convinced that YouTube was a better place to watch his content. Some noted that the platform has been banned in certain countries , such as Brazil, over regulations regarding content control. “Rumble is not it. See you around, Champs!” one said . “I’m a fan. But I dislike Rumble a whole lot more.” Oh, I'm a fan. But I dislike Rumble a whole lot more. I'm sure I'll be OK without his content in my life. “I just can’t do it. I subscribe to YouTube Family since there is so much there. I can’t subscribe to Rumble for $10 a month to just watch you. Sorry Doc, I have been a member for years, but I just can’t do this,” a different fan was sad to say . “I will be doing my best to watch, but if he don’t multi-stream then f**k, it was a good 5 years,” another wrote on Reddit . “This is the end of the line for me more than likely. Things have been off pretty much since the allegations , but things will never gonna go back to how they were,” someone else chimed in. Loyal Dr Disrespect followers flock to Rumble However, others are embracing the change and have welcomed the switch to Rumble with open arms. Related: “It’s time to Make Gaming Great Again! Congrats Doc!” one praised . “And I’ve already got a leather seat with my name on it, right there on the front row of the arena,” another remarked . Streamer Arctix was extremely positive about the switch and spoke highly of Rumble: “Change always feels different, but I have full confidence in the Champions Club & their ability to be part of this new, powerful, important movement happening on Rumble. This is ONLY the beginning. Welcome to Rumble, Dr Disrespect!” 📢: I've said it before & I'll say it again: People are waking up, frustrated from this imposed norm of constant bias & never-ending censorship. They're tired of not being able to get things as-is, because free, non-biased, unfiltered, legitimate truth & not forced ideology, is... https://t.co/F0ThEGRnOJ “No matter where Doc goes, the Champs will be there! I’m ready to rumble!” supported someone else. So far, the switch seems to have been a positive one for the platform from a business perspective. As reported by Bloomberg , since announcing his signing, Rumble’s shares have gained as much as 17%. Doc’s decision to join Rumble comes after YouTube demonetized his channel over messages he had sent an underage individual on Twitch, which resulted in his ban from the platform in 2020. Beahm has since claimed the DMs were taken out of context, arguing that Twitch staff had a vendetta against him and had orchestrated the ban . In a post on X, Doc explained that Rumble “represents the type of values I’m aligned with” while calling out Twitch for creating a “false, exaggerated narrative about something from almost a decade ago.” Dr Disrespect’s first Rumble broadcast is scheduled for December 2 . At the time of writing, he’s already secured 17.7K followers on his new channel.MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (AP) — Uruguayans on Sunday voted in the second round of the country's presidential election , with the conservative governing party and the left-leaning coalition locked in a close runoff after failing to win an outright majority in last month’s vote . The closing of polls started a countdown to the announcement of official results as independent polling firms were preparing to release so-called quick counts. Depending on how tight the vote turns out to be, electoral officials may not call the race for days — as happened in the contentious 2019 runoff that brought center-right President Luis Lacalle Pou to office and ended 15 years of rule by Uruguay’s left-leaning Broad Front. Uruguay's staid election has turned into a hard-fought race between Álvaro Delgado, the incumbent party’s candidate who won 27% in the first round of voting on Oct. 27, and Yamandú Orsi from the Broad Front, who took 44% of the vote in the first round. But other conservative parties that make up the government coalition — in particular, the Colorado Party — notched 20% of the vote collectively, enough to give Delgado an edge over his challenger. Congress ended up evenly split in the October vote. Most polls have shown a virtual tie between Delgado and Orsi, with nearly 10% of Uruguayan voters undecided even at this late stage. Many said they believed turnout would be low if voting weren't compulsory in the country. “Neither candidate convinced me and I feel that there are many in my same situation," said Vanesa Gelezoglo, 31, in the capital, Montevideo, adding she would make up her mind at “the last minute.” Analysts say the candidates' lackluster campaigns and broad consensus on key issues have generated extraordinary indecision and apathy in an election dominated by discussions about social spending and concerns over income inequality but largely free of the anti-establishment rage that has vaulted populist outsiders to power elsewhere . “The question of whether Frente Amplio (the Broad Front) raises taxes is not an existential question, unlike what we saw in the U.S. with Trump and Kamala framing each other as threats to democracy," said Nicolás Saldías, a Latin America and Caribbean senior analyst for the London-based Economist Intelligence Unit. “That doesn't exist in Uruguay.” Both candidates are also appealing to voter angst over a surge in violent crime that has shaken a nation long regarded as one of the region’s safest, with Delgado promising tough-on-crime policies and Orsi advocating a more community-oriented approach. Delgado, 55, a rural veterinarian with a long career in the National Party, campaigned on a vow to continue the legacy of current President Lacalle Pou — in some ways making the election into a referendum on his leadership. He campaigned under the slogan “re-elect a good government." While a string of corruption scandals rattled Lacalle Pou's government last year, the president — who constitutionally cannot run for a second consecutive term — now enjoys high approval ratings and a strong economy expected to grow 3.2% this year, according to the International Monetary Fund. Inflation has also eased in recent months, boosting his coalition. Delgado served most recently as Secretary of the Presidency for Lacalle Pou and promises to pursue his predecessor's pro-business policies. He would continue pushing for a trade deal with China that has raised hackles in Mercosur, an alliance of South American countries promoting regional commerce. "We have to give the government coalition a chance to consolidate its proposals,” said Ramiro Pérez, a street vendor voting for Delgado on Sunday. Orsi, 57, a former history teacher and two-time mayor from a working-class background, is widely seen as the political heir to iconic former President José “Pepe” Mujica , an ex-Marxist guerilla who raised Uruguay's international profile as one of the region's most socially liberal and environmentally sustainable nations during his 2010-2015 term. His Broad Front coalition oversaw the legalization of abortion, same-sex marriage and the sale of marijuana in the small South American nation of 3.4 million people. “He's my candidate, not only for my sake but also for my children's,” Yeny Varone, a nurse, said of Orsi. “In the future they'll have better working conditions, health and salaries.” Mujica, now 89 and recovering from esophageal cancer , was among the first to cast his ballot after polls opened. “Uruguay is a small country, but it has earned recognition for being stable, for having a citizenry that respects institutional formalities,” he told reporters from his local polling station. “This is no small feat.” While promising to forge a “new left” in Uruguay, Orsi plans no dramatic changes. He proposes tax incentives to lure investment and social security reforms that would lower the retirement age but fall short of a radical overhaul sought by Uruguay's unions. The contentious plebiscite on whether to boost pension payouts failed to pass in October, with Uruguayans rejecting generous pensions in favor of fiscal constraint. Both candidates pledged full cooperation with each other if elected. “I want (Orsi) to know that my idea is to form a government of national unity,” Delgado told reporters after casting his vote in the capital's upscale Pocitos neighborhood. He said that if he won, he and Orsi would chat on Monday over some yerba mate, the traditional herbal drink beloved by Uruguayans. Orsi similarly pledged a smooth and respectful transition of power, describing Sunday's democratic exercise as “an incredible experience" as he voted in Canelones, the sprawling town of beaches and cattle ranches just north of Montevideo where he served as mayor for a decade. “The essence of politics is agreements,” he said. “You never end up completely satisfied.” ___ Associated Press writer Isabel DeBre in Villa Tunari, Bolivia, contributed to this report. Health minister Frank Vandenbroucke tells The Associated Press that the inexpensive e-cigarettes have turned into a health threat since they are an easy way for teenagers to be drawn into smoking and get hooked on nicotine. Australia outlawed the sale of “vapes” outside pharmacies earlier this year in some of the world’s toughest restrictions on electronic cigarettes. Now Belgium is leading the EU drive. Belgium's minister wants tougher tobacco measures in the 27-nation bloc. Charles Dolan, HBO and Cablevision founder, dies at 98 Charles F. (AP) — Officials say two Oregon men have died in a Washington state forest after they failed to return from a trip to look for Sasquatch. The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office says the 59-year-old and 37-year-old appear to have died from exposure. The sheriff's office says it based that conclusion on the weather and their lack of preparedness. Both men were from Portland. They were found in a heavily wooded area of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest northeast of that city. Family reported them missing after they failed to return from a Christmas Eve outing. Sasquatch is a folkloric beast thought by some to roam the forests, particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
Segall Bryant & Hamill LLC Invests $1.67 Million in MasterBrand, Inc. (NYSE:MBC)In a mid-table clash at Carrow Road, home side Norwich City will play Plymouth Argyle in their 17th Championship game of the season on Tuesday. The Canaries are in poor form and reside in 13th place with 19 points following their 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and are two points and six places ahead of sixth last Plymouth, who shared the spoils with Watford on Friday after drawing 2-2. Both Norwich and West Brom created two big chances during their clash, with the sides also having an equal share of possession. The Canaries lost the prior three games to their draw against the Baggies, but they have not won any game since beating Hull City 4-0 in the Championship on October 5. Following his side's stalemate against West Brom, boss Johannes Hoff Thorup said that he felt his team had been conceding goals too easily recently, stating: "I think we have to look at that – we should not concede as many goals as we do at the moment. That's definitely something we need to improve." In their past six matches, Norwich have conceded 13 times and scored on eight occasions, whereas they had conceded just six goals in the prior six. Thorup's side have in fact allowed opponents to score 24 times in the Championship this season, and that figure makes them the league's joint sixth worst defensive team, though their tally of 25 goals netted makes them the division's joint fourth best offensive club. The hosts have a mixed record at home considering they have lost one, drawn four and won three of their eight most recent outings at Carrow Road. Meanwhile, Plymouth were fortunate to have earned a point against Watford given they required a 96th minute goal to avoid defeat, as well as the fact the Hornets created a number of good opportunities in the final third. However, manager Wayne Rooney felt his players deserved to leave the pitch with at least a point, telling reporters: "I was confident we could get a late goal, because we've done it a few times now and there is that belief, especially when the fans get behind you." Rooney's side are only two points ahead of 22nd-placed Hull City, who occupy the division's final relegation spot, but only three points separates his team from 11th-placed Derby County. The Pilgrims have drawn two and won one of their last three games, but they have only won once in their past seven fixtures. The visitors' away form has been poor for some time, with Plymouth having drawn two and lost seven of their nine matches on the road this season. The hosts will certainly be unable to call upon defender Kellen Fisher , who has accumulated too many yellow cards. Midfielders Anis Ben Slimane and Marcelino Nunez have been ruled out until late and early December respectively, so perhaps Norwich will start Jacob Lungi Sorensen , Emiliano Marcondes and Christian Fassnacht in the middle of the pitch. In the forward line, Ashley Barnes and Joshua Sargent are unavailable, and Throup could select Forson Amankwah , Ante Crnac and Borja Sainz in a front three given the prior two's absence. Plymouth will have to contend with injuries to goalkeeper Conor Hazard , as well as defenders Brendan Galloway and Joe Edwards . Rooney may start a back three of Kornel Szucs , Julio Pleguezuelo and Lewis Gibson in front of goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw . Forward Morgan Whittaker was taken off as a result of injury against Watford, and he joins fellow attackers Ibrahim Cissoko and Muhamed Tijani on the treatment table. Callum Wright replaced Whittaker in the second half against the Hornets, and he may be joined in the forward line by Andre Gray and Michael Obafemi . Norwich City possible starting lineup: Gunn; Stacey, Duffy, Doyle, Hills; Sorensen, Marcondes, Fassnacht; Amankwah, Crnac, Sainz Plymouth Argyle possible starting lineup: Grimshaw; Szucs, Pleguezuelo, Gibson; Sorinola, Randell, Gyabi, Mumba; Whittaker, Gray, Obafemi Norwich are unlikely to keep a clean sheet given their poor defensive record, but it is difficult to see how Plymouth can prevent the Canaries from creating numerous chances in front of goal. Rooney's side were somewhat fortunate last time out, and it would not be surprising if they succumbed to defeat on Tuesday. Abortion has become slightly more common despite bans or deep restrictions in most Republican-controlled states, and the legal and political fights over its future are not over yet. It's now been two and a half years since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and opened the door for states to implement bans. The policies and their impact have been in flux ever since the ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. Here's a look at data on where things stand: Overturning Roe and enforcing abortion bans has changed how woman obtain abortions in the U.S. But one thing it hasn't done is put a dent in the number of abortions being obtained. There have been slightly more monthly abortions across the country recently than there were in the months leading up to the June 2022 ruling, even as the number in states with bans dropped to near zero. “Abortion bans don’t actually prevent abortions from happening,” said Ushma Upadhyay, a public health social scientist at the University of California San Francisco. But, she said, they do change care. For women in some states, there are major obstacles to getting abortions — and advocates say that low-income, minority and immigrant women are least likely to be able to get them when they want. For those living in states with bans, the ways to access abortion are through travel or abortion pills. As the bans swept in, abortion pills became a bigger part of the equation. They were involved in about half the abortions before Dobbs. More recently, it’s been closer to two-thirds of them, according to research by the Guttmacher Institute. The uptick of that kind of abortion, usually involving a combination of two drugs, was underway before the ruling. But now, it's become more common for pill prescriptions to be made by telehealth. By the summer of 2024, about 1 in 10 abortions was via pills prescribed via telehealth to patients in states where abortion is banned. As a result, the pills are now at the center of battles over abortion access. This month, Texas sued a New York doctor for prescribing pills to a Texas woman via telemedicine. There's also an effort by Idaho, Kansas and Missouri to roll back their federal approvals and treat them as “controlled dangerous substances,” and a push for the federal government to start enforcing a 19th-century federal law to ban mailing them. Clinics have closed or halted abortions in states with bans. But a network of efforts to get women seeking abortions to places where they're legal has strengthened and travel for abortion is now common. The Guttmacher Institute found that more than twice as many Texas residents obtained abortion in 2023 in New Mexico as New Mexico residents did. And as many Texans received them in Kansas as Kansans. Abortion funds, which benefitted from “rage giving” in 2022, have helped pay the costs for many abortion-seekers. But some funds have had to cap how much they can give . Since the downfall of Roe, the actions of lawmakers and courts have kept shifting where abortion is legal and under what conditions. Here's where it stands now: Florida, the nation’s third most-populous state, began enforcing a ban on abortions after the first six weeks of pregnancy on May 1. That immediately changed the state from one that was a refuge for other Southerners seeking abortion to an exporter of people looking for them. There were about 30% fewer abortions there in May compared with the average for the first three months of the year. And in June, there were 35% fewer. While the ban is not unique, the impact is especially large. The average driving time from Florida to a facility in North Carolina where abortion is available for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy is more than nine hours, according to data maintained by Caitlin Myers, a Middlebury College economics professor. The bans have meant clinics closed or stopped offering abortions in some states. But some states where abortion remains legal until viability – generally considered to be sometime past 21 weeks of pregnancy , though there’s no fixed time for it – have seen clinics open and expand . Illinois, Kansas and New Mexico are among the states with new clinics. There were 799 publicly identifiable abortion providers in the U.S. in May 2022, the month before the Supreme Court reversed Roe v. Wade. And by this November, it was 792, according to a tally by Myers, who is collecting data on abortion providers. But Myers says some hospitals that always provided some abortions have begun advertising it. So they’re now in the count of clinics – even though they might provide few of them. How hospitals handle pregnancy complications , especially those that threaten the lives of the women, has emerged as a major issue since Roe was overturned. President Joe Biden's administration says hospitals must offer abortions when they're needed to prevent organ loss, hemorrhage or deadly infections, even in states with bans. Texas is challenging the administration’s policy and the U.S. Supreme Court this year declined to take it up after the Biden administration sued Idaho. More than 100 pregnant women seeking help in emergency rooms and were turned away or left unstable since 2022, The Associated Press found in an analysis of federal hospital investigative records. Among the complaints were a woman who miscarried in the lobby restroom of Texas emergency room after staff refused to see her and a woman who gave birth in a car after a North Carolina hospital couldn't offer an ultrasound. The baby later died. “It is increasingly less safe to be pregnant and seeking emergency care in an emergency department,” Dara Kass, an emergency medicine doctor and former U.S. Health and Human Services official told the AP earlier this year. Since Roe was overturned, there have been 18 reproductive rights-related statewide ballot questions. Abortion rights advocates have prevailed on 14 of them and lost on four. In the 2024 election , they amended the constitutions in five states to add the right to abortion. Such measures failed in three states: In Florida, where it required 60% support; in Nebraska, which had competing abortion ballot measures; and in South Dakota, where most national abortion rights groups did support the measure. AP VoteCast data found that more than three-fifths of voters in 2024 supported abortion being legal in all or most cases – a slight uptick from 2020. The support came even as voters supported Republicans to control the White House and both houses of Congress. Associated Press writers Linley Sanders, Amanda Seitz and Laura Ungar contributed to this article. In recent years, the United States has struggled to establish clear regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrencies, despite its historical leadership in financial and technological sectors. This lack of clarity has allowed countries in the Middle East and Asia, particularly high-growth economies, to lead the way with more effective frameworks tailored to digital assets. These frameworks serve as a model that, if not quickly adopted by Western countries, may cause them to fall behind as the industry’s center of gravity shifts. The U.S. faces challenges such as inconsistent regulatory measures and high-profile lawsuits against companies like Ripple and Coinbase, creating an uncertain environment for the crypto sector. These issues arise partly from trying to apply traditional securities and commodities regulations to digital assets, which were not designed with cryptocurrencies in mind. Meanwhile, countries like Indonesia and Malaysia have embraced a more understanding approach. For instance, Indonesia quickly classified digital assets as commodities, and Malaysia developed a comprehensive framework for crypto exchanges, tackling key issues like investor protection and anti-money laundering. These initiatives have generated increased trust and attractiveness in the crypto markets in these regions. Notably, Indonesia’s crypto market experienced a significant surge, with transactions surpassing $30 billion from January to October 2024, marking a 350% increase from the previous year. This positions Indonesia as the third-largest country for cryptocurrency adoption globally, following similar trends in Central and Southern Asia and Oceania. The effectiveness of regulations in high-growth markets owes to the high utility of cryptocurrencies in these regions, where they address issues like high remittance costs and limited access to traditional financial services. Innovations such as tokenized gold offer an accessible hedge against inflation. While these markets’ regulatory approaches are not flawless and continue to evolve, they highlight the need for diversified regulation models to cater to real digital asset use cases globally. As the world transitions to broader web3 adoption, the role of emerging markets in setting the standard for crypto regulations becomes increasingly significant. The future of cryptocurrency is projected to align more with practical utility in daily life and economic inclusion than with traditional financial centers like Wall Street or Silicon Valley.

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter dies at 100Maverick McNealy birdies the last hole at Sea Island to finally become PGA Tour winnerORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The community built by Bills Mafia extends across the globe, but sometimes there’s just those special moments when the international fans get to experience the Bills in-person. The Bills Helmet Bar crew, which hail from Georgina, Ontario, made the trek to Western New York recently. Like so many others around the holidays, a pilgrimage to Highmark Stadium comes with some baggage in tow for some of our Canadian Bills Backers. “This community was loving it. It was a great opportunity for the Bills to prove themselves on the national stage against Tom Brady’s Patriots,” remarked Blake Parnham, down with the Bills Helmet Bar’s tailgate. “I’m still traumatized by that Sunday night debacle.” This time around, all Bills fans would have something to revel in, especially those who made their way down from the storied Bills Helmet Bar. “Orchard Park weekends are so unique because they don’t happen very often for us,” said Parnham, who serves as the face of the Bills Helmet Bar. Along with his father, Rick, Parnham and a score of others, made their way down to Western New York from the Great White North. “We bought these tickets back in June, not knowing where the Bills would be in late December, not knowing if the division was even going to be in play with how good the Jets and Dolphins were supposed to be,” he said. Luckily, the Bills were in solid position. The tailgate lot, though, was maybe a bit further than usual. “It’s a pretty easy commute to get to the game when it’s in your backyard. It’s about 15 steps out the back door,” said Rick Parnham, whose home the Helmet Bar resides at. “Beer’s already cold in the keg fridge.” But weekends like this get all the Helmet faithful down to the states. “How do we get the crew down here?” Rick asked. “The smile on our faces is just awesome because the community that’s been built around the Helmet Bar is fantastic,” he followed up with knowing the logistics had worked out for the trip and the large following that joined them. The community includes regulars like Amanda Alexander and ‘Chef Rob’ Cullen. “I’ve been a big fan for 30 years. And what? This is incredible. It’s five minutes from my house. I never knew anything about it,” said Cullen, who helps coordinate the Helmet Bar’s menus to represent the competition. “Living in Keswick, to hear something that’s Buffalo-related near me was like, ‘oh my God, Godsend’,” said Alexander. The Parnhams have fostered a family that during football season goes to new heights. “What has actually grown out of this is, we’re a community,” she added. “They’re always there supporting my daughter. They’re supporting their neighbors. And everybody genuinely cares about each other in addition to wanting to have a good game, and the fact that people know about this outside of our little hometown is actually awesome.” The Bills Helmet Bar extends from a small lake town in Ontario to a lake-effect town a couple miles south of Buffalo and beyond. “The worries of the week go away. Everything is about the food, the Helmet Bar, hanging out, having a good time and for a few hours the world goes away and we have each other and it is just fantastic,” said Cullen. “No matter when or how many times we’ve been here, it is like coming home.” That Pats game Blake mentioned earlier? It’s not the only sour memory. “The last one I was at was the infamous Stevie Johnson dropping the ball against the Steelers,” said Alexander. “So it’s a chance to clear that from my memory and leave tonight with an awesome game, knowing that we’re set for the playoffs. We’re going to keep going with the momentum and just kill it.” No worries past the half as Buffalo took care of business like they have time and time again this season for their visiting fans. “This is generational,” said Rick. “This is something that the history books are going to talk about what’s going to happen on that field today. Like, those are the kinds of things that you witness when you watch this team.” “Minus ten Celsius. I don’t know what that is. Fahrenheit. But the sun is shining,” Blake remarked. “This is this whole community is what the bills are about. And I’m thrilled to just be a little part of it.”‘Nebraska did a good job': Boston College's Bill O'Brien lauds NU’s red zone defense
