The Pittsburgh Steelers have been without arguably their best offensive player for three straight games. Set to face off against the Kansas City Chiefs for the entire world to see on Christmas Day, it looks like that may come to end. Here is everything we learned about George Pickens and everyone else on the Steelers injury report: Steelers Week 17 Injury Report (Mon) #Steelers injury report from Monday. George Pickens is a full participant and is set to play against the Chiefs. pic.twitter.com/YriSrIXg4q George Pickens made his first return to practice as a full participant after missing three games. The Steelers have gone 1-2 over that stretch, with their lone win coming against the Cleveland Browns. "I did not," said Tomlin when asked if he encamped Pickens missing this much time wifh injury. "From a health standpoint, I’ll outline some things. Some guys that didn't play yesterday who have a real chance this week [are] Justin Fields, DeShon Elliott, Donte Jackson, George Pickens, and Larry Ogunjobi – all have an opportunity to play this week... "...But again, we'll see where the week leads us from their inclusion. The two guys that didn't finish yesterday's game, Joey Porter with a kneeand Ben Skowronek with a hip, their availability remains questionable. I just don't have a lot of new information on those guys, given that we just played last night, and we're still in the process of assessing the state of some of those things. But anybody that didn't makeit out of the stadium yesterday on a four-day turnaround is probably going to have a difficult time showing for this one." And it looks that way as Joey Porter Jr. has not participated for two days in a row and is likely out against Kansas City, as is first quarter of Baltimore Ravens game star Ben Skowronek. Worlase Kpeli, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North, has revealed his intention to consult with his constituents before deciding whether to align with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Parliament. In an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show, Kpeli emphasized the importance of a thoughtful decision-making process, acknowledging the complexity of aligning with any political party. “There are a lot of things that go into this decision and consultations. There are decisions that one must go through to determine who to do business with, and I will have to consult my people before,” he stated. Kpeli’s victory marked a notable political shift, as he ran as an independent candidate after being suspended by the NDC. Despite the odds, he secured the Afram Plains North seat, showcasing strong grassroots support. Regarding his future relationship with the NDC, Kpeli pointed out that the party’s constitution does not explicitly prohibit him from engaging with the NDC following his independent candidacy. “Looking through the NDC’s constitution, there is no express clause that goes against me going independent. It is just by convention that we all say it, but expressly, I don’t see any binding clause that forfeits my membership in the NDC,” he explained. Kpeli’s stance underscores his commitment to consult with his constituents before making any decisions about his parliamentary affiliation, signaling that his political alignment will be shaped by the interests of those who elected him.Christopher Nolan’s next film to be Homer’s ‘The Odyssey’ for UniversalKendrick Lamar’s “GNX” Takes Over Apple & Spotify
South Korea’s right-wing president, Yoon Suk Yeol, suddenly declared martial law across the country on Tuesday and then swiftly rescinded it after the self-declared anti-communist power grab was unanimously rejected by parliament and sparked a public mass uprising. Late Tuesday evening, Yoon declared martial law, saying that there is a need to protect the country from “communist forces” and to eliminate “anti-state forces.” The decree prohibited all political activities, put all news publications under control of martial law and banned all labor activities like strikes or work slowdowns. Members of the National Assembly, South Korea’s parliament, rushed to the chamber after the declaration, with one lawmaker saying that he had to climb over a wall to get past police and military who were blocking the building. Less than three hours after it was declared, parliament voted, 190 to 0, to reverse the edict. Meanwhile, protests erupted in Seoul after the declaration. The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, one of South Korea’s largest unions with over 1 million members, called for an “ indefinite general strike ” until Yoon resigned. Even though the parliament voted to undo the declaration, military officials had reportedly pledged to continue enforcing it until the president lifted it, according to South Korean news channel YTN . But then, just about six hours after Yoon’s surprise television conference, he rescinded his declaration, citing the National Assembly’s vote . It was the first time martial law had been declared in South Korea since 1980 , when it was declared under a fascist dictatorship propped up in part by the U.S. Yoon is a scandal-plagued far right leader who has massively expanded the oppressive security state within the country since he was narrowly elected in 2022. President Joe Biden has been criticized for his warm relationship with Yoon, saying he is a “great friend” and maintaining diplomatic relations. The Biden administration refused to condemn the martial law declaration on Tuesday, only expressing “concern” over “developments we are seeing on the ground,” as a White House spokesperson said. “Certainly it is our hope and expectation that the laws and regulations of a particular country are abided by that particular country,” said State Department deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel at a news briefing. “Ultimately, we want to see these political disputes resolved peacefully and in accordance with the rule of law. And of course, such a vote in the legislature would be consistent with that approach.” Yoon had already faced mass calls to resign prior to Tuesday, facing accusations of abusing his veto power to advance his own interests, including vetoing a bill to investigate his wife for allegations of stock manipulation; legislation to investigate a 2022 crowd crush that killed 159 people in Seoul; and a bill to probe the death of a marine seemingly caused by negligence within the military.Universal confirmed the project today (Monday, December 23) [formerly Twitter] account.
