Saints say Taysom Hill 'likely' has a season-ending knee injuryFLORHAM PARK, N.J., Nov. 27, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Celularity Inc. (Nasdaq: CELU) (“Celularity” or the “Company”), a regenerative medicine company developing placental-derived allogeneic cell therapies and advanced biomaterial products, announced that on November 21, 2024, the Company received notification from the Listing Qualifications department of the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (“Nasdaq”) stating that the Company does not comply with the Nasdaq continued listing requirements due to the Company’s inability to timely file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the period ended September 30, 2024 (the “Q3 Form 10-Q”). Nasdaq’s notice has no immediate effect on the listing of Celularity’s common stock and warrants, which continue to trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbols “CELU” and “CELUW,” respectively. The Company is required to submit to Nasdaq a plan to regain compliance with respect to its delinquent report by no later than January 20, 2025, and if accepted, the Company has until May 13, 2025, to implement the plan to regain compliance. The Company intends to submit a plan to Nasdaq by no later than January 20, 2025 and will evaluate available options to regain compliance within the compliance period. However, there can be no assurance that Nasdaq will accept the plan, the Company will regain compliance within the compliance period, or maintain compliance with the other Nasdaq listing requirements. While the Company has made significant progress in improving its financial reporting infrastructure, these enhancements have required time to implement effectively. The filing delay of the Q3 Form 10-Q primarily results from the backlog associated with the Company’s efforts to become current on its previous filings, including the Forms 10-Q for the first and second quarters of 2024, which were filed recently. “We acknowledge the challenges associated with our recent delays, but we remain committed to ensuring robust and timely financial reporting,” said Robert J. Hariri, M.D., Ph.D., Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Celularity. “We are nearing the completion of the Q3 Form 10-Q and expect to file it shortly. The improvements we have made to our finance function are setting the stage for long-term success, and we are committed to maintaining compliance going forward.” About Celularity Celularity Inc. To contribute, click here . ••• Nikki Giovanni, a transcendent American poet, knew her life was quickly coming to an end when she visited Minnesota in September to deliver the keynote speech for an annual gala sponsored by the Minneapolis chapter of the NAACP. On her third stint battling cancer, a noticeably weakened Giovanni almost casually announced the approach of her inevitable demise. Only she didn’t say she was dying as much as state that she was aware of an impending transition. “You don’t die until you’re forgotten,” she told the sold-out Freedom Fund gala. Giovanni, a storied civil rights activist, transitioned on Monday, Dec. 9, and accolades to her legacy are being heralded. But how do you eulogize someone who refuses to die? In the advancing age of artificial intelligence, as long as human poetry remains an art form and humanity continues, Giovanni will remain as immortal as Baldwin or Frost. Hyperbole be damned. A university professor and author by trade, Giovanni was quoted saying her best audiences were college students and prison inmates. Her social reach was infinitely more expansive. The diversity of her audiences and fanbase attests to a towering intellectual range. As a writer, she fluently addressed issues of gender, race, politics, sex and love with startling aplomb. She was at once unapologetically full-frontal and surprisingly demure, whatever the occasion demanded. The first time I saw her as a college freshman in 1984, I instantly fell in love. Her poem “Revolutionary Dreams” captivated me. It spoke about self-change and revolution — actual and metaphysical. But it was the audacity of “Ego Tripping,” perhaps her most famous poem, that sealed the deal for a teenager: “I was born in the Congo / I walked to the fertile crescent and built the sphinx / I designed a pyramid so tough that a star that only glows every one hundred years falls into the center giving divine perfect light / I am bad [...]” And, then her ascendant conclusion: “I am so perfect so divine so ethereal so surreal / I cannot be comprehended except by my permission / I mean ... I ... can fly like a bird in the sky ...” Giovanni is the artistic and soulful predecessor of so many artists and intellectuals who now populate the contemporary pantheon of creatives and activist artists. She was and will continue to be a bridge. If you listen closely, you can hear her voice in the work of people as varied as Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monáe, Amanda Gorman and others. “I really like what the young people are doing,” Giovanni told The New York Times in 2020, as she reflected on the Black Lives Matter movement and the activism of the young. “I think my job is to be sure to get out of their way, but also let them know, if it means anything to them, that I’m proud of them.” “I recommend old age,” she added. “There’s just nothing as wonderful as knowing you have done your job.” Yolande Cornelia “Nikki” Giovanni Jr. did far more than a job. She was a walking revolution. Now, transitioned at the age of 81, her lasting legacy will be the continued transcendence of time, location and genre.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are expected to hire former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, a six-time Super Bowl winner, as their head coach, according to multiple reports. ESPN and NFL Network were first to report the news. Belichick, 72, coached the Patriots from 2000 to 2023. He won Super Bowls after the 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016 and 2018 seasons before he and New England mutually parted ways in January. Belichick is second on the NFL’s all-time coaching wins list, with 333. He also won two Super Bowls as the New York Giants’ defensive coordinator after the 1987 and 1990 seasons. The Tar Heels fired head coach Mack Brown on Nov. 26. Brown, who previously coached at North Carolina from 1988 to 1997, led the team for the last six seasons. He had a 43-33 record during his second stint, winning one bowl game. The Tar Heels have not won a conference championship since 1980. They last appeared in the ACC championship game in 2022. Belichick has never coached in college. He began his coaching career as an assistant with the Baltimore Colts in 1975, then spent two years with the Detroit Lions and one with the Denver Broncos. The Giants hired Belichick as a special teams assistant in 1979 and promoted him to defensive coordinator in 1985. He won two championships under head coach Bill Parcells before he accepted the head coaching position with the Cleveland Browns in 1991. In four seasons with the Browns, Belichick was 36-44, making the playoffs only once. After he was fired in 1996, he reunited with Parcells, first as a defensive assistant with the Patriots in 1996, then as the New York Jets’ defensive coordinator from 1997 to 1999. Belichick originally agreed to become the Jets’ head coach in 2000 but surprised the team by resigning before what was supposed to be his introductory news conference. He instead left for New England, where he was given final say over player personnel in addition to his coaching duties. Though he oversaw six Super Bowl wins, Belichick’s relationship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft reportedly grew strained in 2020. That year, Belichick decided the Patriots would part ways with quarterback Tom Brady, who started in all of New England’s Super Bowl wins and is headed to the Hall of Fame as one of the greatest signal callers of all time. In his last four years as the Patriots’ head coach, all without Brady, Belichick posted a 29-38 record, making the playoffs only once. In January, Belichick interviewed for the head coaching position with the Atlanta Falcons, who hired Raheem Morris. As one of the most pressing challenges facing the workforce today, industry data shows that 73 percent of all employees have some type of current caregiving responsibility, balancing care for aging parents or relatives, children, partners, and family members with complex care needs, all while managing the demands of work.** Despite this large population of the workforce, the care benefits and resources for this often-invisible workforce are siloed and fragmented at best, leaving employee caregivers to piece together care infrastructure from scratch. The administrative, logistical, financial, and emotional burden of managing care can then have consequential impacts that touch every corner of the workforce and as a result caregiving has become the second-leading reason, behind retirement, prompting employees to exit the workforce.*** Due to these challenges today, between 40-70 percent of family caregivers report clinically significant levels of depression and anxiety.**** As more employees look to their employers for solutions and support, the new collaboration between Wellthy and Benefitfocus seeks to help meet the needs that many employees face today when trying to manage care on top of their day-to-day jobs. Specifically, employers who adopt the Wellthy solution for their workers will offer a unique opportunity to provide robust support for individuals juggling caregiving and work responsibilities to maximize their workplace health care and benefit programs. "Employees today trust their employers more than any other entity when it comes to their healthcare and their family's healthcare needs," said Lindsay Jurist-Rosner, CEO and co-founder of Wellthy. "Our collaboration with Benefitfocus marks a major step forward in ensuring that employees can access the care infrastructure they need to care for themselves and their loved ones, with a goal of helping them remain productive, engaged, and healthy at work. We are thrilled to collaborate with Benefitfocus, whose innovation and impact in benefits management empowers employers, health plans, insurance carriers, brokers, and consumers alike to manage and exchange vital benefit information." Wellthy brings a decade of industry-leading experience to the partnership, supporting millions of families across hundreds of companies, including 35 Fortune 500 organizations. With hundreds of Care Team members - including experienced social workers, gerontologists, nurses, mental health practitioners, and more - Wellthy is uniquely equipped to assist families navigating the complexities of caregiving. Wellthy's tailored support provides a human touch to caregiving, helping employees manage their responsibilities with confidence and care. Andrew Frend, President of Benefitfocus, emphasized the critical role Wellthy can play in helping diverse workforces manage caregiving challenges. "We know that caregiving can have significant physical, emotional and financial impacts on individuals, particularly those in the workforce and employers have an opportunity to help the challenges faced by this community," said Frend. "Wellthy provides employees with the critical care infrastructure they need to navigate the complexities of caregiving. We look forward to working together with Wellthy to offer our clients a new benefit solution that can help to support their workforce and differentiate themselves in the market." This new collaboration further solidifies both companies' commitment to addressing the evolving needs of today's workforce, ensuring that employers can better support their caregiving employees through comprehensive benefits programs that foster well-being, retention, and productivity. Bills defense out to prove against high-scoring Lions that it's better than its dud vs. RamsNonePep Guardiola admitted Manchester City must scrap to secure the best-case scenario of a Champions League playoff tie in February after seeing their latest defeat, a 2-0 reverse to Juventus , all but scupper their chances of automatic progress to the last 16. City have now won once in 10 games and were well beaten in Turin despite dominating large chunks of the match. Now-familiar failings at both ends returned to haunt them and when a loose Josko Gvardiol clearance set Dusan Vlahovic’s opener in train the die was cast. They are 22nd in the 36-team table with a visit to Paris Saint-Germain and a home match against Club Brugge to conclude their schedule. A fall of three more places would see them eliminated while they are five points behind the top eight. It means a finish between ninth and 24th, securing a second bite of the cherry but requiring two extra games in a packed calendar, will probably have to suffice. “It’s the target,” Guardiola said. “We need one point, three points. Go to Paris to try to do it, and the last game at home.” Guardiola was characteristically defensive of his team’s display. Erling Haaland missed their best chance in the 39th minute and they knocked on the door before Weston McKennie put the match beyond their reach. “We played good: really, really good,” he said. “We missed the last pass, the last action when we arrived, and we conceded chances in some transitions. It happens but I am so proud of these players.” Asked whether he was questioning himself amid a run unprecedented during his tenure, he replied: “Of course I question myself. I’m stable in good moments, bad moments. I try to find a way to do it. I’m incredibly honest, if we play good we play good. Always the game will save us.” After the match Ilkay Gündogan had said City were low on confidence, suggesting a “mental issue” in their loss of rhythm. “In crucial moments, at the moment, we are always doing the wrong things,” Gündogan continued, but his manager’s take was more sanguine. The findings show a mix of enthusiasm and caution among travelers regarding their future global itineraries. Approximately 30% of respondents indicated they expect to increase their international trips next year, while 7% foresee scaling back on foreign travel. However, the majority — 55% — anticipate no significant changes to their plans despite the election outcome. The reasons behind increased international travel are varied. Some respondents cited dissatisfaction with the election results as a driving factor, expressing a strong desire to spend more time abroad. One traveler remarked, “I want to spend as much time as possible outside the U.S. over the next four years.” For others, optimism about a potential post-election economic boost played a pivotal role. “The economy should show signs of improvement, and if the new administration can make peace deals around the world, then travel will be as good or better next year,” shared another participant. Related Articles Conversely, those who reported no change in their travel plans pointed to stable financial conditions. With inflation at its lowest point in three years, many travelers have already secured their 2025 travel arrangements. “I have a general feeling of being better off and secure. I anticipate increased disposable income available, and I’m already booked for 2025,” stated one respondent. Economic factors appear to be bolstering travel confidence overall. Dan Richards, CEO of The Global Rescue Companies and a U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board member, explained: “With inflation at a three-year low, fewer travelers are canceling or postponing trips. In 2024, travelers embarked on their long-postponed dreams of global travel, fueled by a stabilizing economy and a renewed focus on meaningful experiences over material possessions.” Still, a small proportion of respondents (7%) plan to travel less internationally in the coming year, citing personal safety concerns tied to the U.S. elections. “The change of U.S. administration makes me more apprehensive about being in a foreign country with the risk of anger and animosity toward Americans being higher,” one participant admitted. Others attributed their hesitance to ongoing geopolitical tensions, including conflicts and terrorist threats worldwide. ©2024 Northstar Travel Media, LLC. Visit at travelpulse.com. OTTAWA - Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has directed a top adviser to deliver a renewed national security strategy setting out a framework for Canada’s security, defence and diplomatic posture. In a newly issued mandate letter, Trudeau said he expects national security and intelligence adviser Nathalie Drouin to consult Canadians and work through the national security council to develop the strategy. He said the new strategy, to be ready next year, should be reviewed every four years to ensure it remains current and responsive. The mandate for Drouin, made public Monday, said discussions on foreign interference reaffirm the need for a stronger, more clearly articulated role for the national security adviser. “It is a dynamic, ever-changing, and evolving role depending on current affairs and priorities. Enhancing your role will help ensure the right information and intelligence gets to the right people at the right time, and that decision makers are given actionable options and advice.” Trudeau said he expects Drouin, who became security adviser last January, to manage the flow of intelligence and analysis necessary for him to effectively fulfil his duties. In addition, he cited a need to improve transparency and discussion with Canadians — especially those directly affected by emerging threats — to help raise awareness and improve Canada’s ability to respond. Trudeau said this includes better communication with parliamentarians, civil society representatives, diaspora communities, provinces and territories, Indigenous groups, allied partners and industry. Among the other tasks for Drouin: — act as secretary to the national security council, a cabinet committee chaired by Trudeau, with comprehensive intelligence and strategic advice; — lead a refreshed annual process to establish Canada’s intelligence priorities, and work with security agencies to communicate these priorities publicly; — enhance awareness among ministers of current and emerging strategic threats, identify options to manage them and ensure a coherent response; — co-ordinate the federal national security community to ensure timely, effective operational response to major incidents affecting national security; — work with the national security community to address recommendations on foreign interference from various bodies — efforts that should include modernization of the intelligence assessment function and ensuring proper flow of intelligence across government; — and support federal efforts to co-ordinate federal emergency preparedness and response capacity to meet challenges including climate change, rapid technological advancement and a shifting geopolitical landscape. This report by The Canadian Press was first published Nov. 25, 2024.Lebanon said Israeli strikes Thursday on the country's east and south killed 52 people, as raids also hit south Beirut and Hezbollah claimed its deepest attack on Israel in over a year. More than 11 months of cross-border fire between Israel and Hezbollah over the Gaza conflict escalated into all-out war in September, with Israel conducting an extensive bombing campaign, primarily targeting Hezbollah strongholds, and sending ground troops into southern Lebanon. "Israeli enemy strikes that targeted the Baalbek district" in east Lebanon's Bekaa Valley left "40 dead and 52 wounded", a health ministry statement said, listing tolls for 10 different locations. Lebanon's official National News Agency (NNA) said a couple and their four children were killed in a strike on a house in the village of Maqneh, while another couple and their young daughter were among 11 people killed in a raid on nearby Nabha. The ministry also reported "seven dead and 24 wounded" in "Israeli enemy strikes" on south Lebanon's Nabatiyeh district, and "five dead and 26 wounded" in strikes elsewhere in south Lebanon. In Israel, first responders said a man was killed after rocket fire from Lebanon hit the Galilee region in the country's north. In Beirut's southern suburbs, the NNA reported at least 12 strikes throughout Thursday, after relative calm while US envoy Amos Hochstein visited earlier this week, seeking to broker an end to the Israel-Hezbollah war. Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee on social media platform X issued several rounds of evacuation warnings for Beirut's southern suburbs, as well as areas in and around the southern coastal city of Tyre, but none for east Lebanon. AFPTV footage showed columns of smoke rising from the southern suburbs, usually a densely populated residential district but now largely emptied. Adraee said on X that the Israeli military "targeted a weapons depot, a command headquarters and terrorist infrastructure" belonging to Hezbollah in south Beirut. Amid a series of attack claims, Hezbollah said its fighters targeted "the Hatzor air base" near Israel's southern city of Ashdod, around 150 kilometres (90 miles) from Lebanon's southern border, "with a missile salvo" -- its deepest target in more than a year of hostilities. In 10 separate statements, Iran-backed Hezbollah said its fighters also targeted Israeli troops in and near the south Lebanon town of Khiam, including with artillery, rockets and drones. The NNA said "the enemy army" was "blowing up homes and residential buildings during its incursion into the town". Lebanon's official news agency and Hezbollah have reported fighting and air strikes in the Khiam area ever since Israeli ground troops first entered Lebanon on September 30. Earlier Thursday, United Nations special coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert visited Baalbek's UNESCO-listed archaeological area, after the UN's cultural body this week granted more than 30 heritage sites in Lebanon "provisional enhanced protection" amid the war. Lebanon's health ministry said Thursday that at least 3,583 people had been killed in the violence since October 2023. Most of the deaths have been since September this year. The Israeli military said Wednesday that three soldiers were killed in south Lebanon, bringing to 52 the number killed in Lebanon since the start of ground operations. bur-lg/givFinding Winners In Biotech, Probably The Riskiest Sector
